    Kitchen, bath reno

    Excellent and meticulous work. Happy to have Curtis on site! Will work with them again.

    Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention, we are disappointed that you had a rough time getting a hold of the staff member in question. The staff member had to leave the country suddenly for a minor family emergency. We've checked the phone records and don't see any voicemail, e-mails or other attempts to get ahold of us. Checking our records there is an invoice that is paid in full and an outstanding invoice for the permit and the draw on the renovation work. If there are issues with the completed work we will gladly step in and rectify any deficiencies. It seems that if there was desire for Cambie to finish this work efforts would have been made through other channels to reach us and paying the draw invoice to commence next steps.

    Problems with Curt at Cambie Plumbing

    Be extremely careful if you deal with Curtis at Cambie Plumbing. Curtis had us pay in advance for work on a furnace he never performed and which we did not need. Further the work he sent his junior to do was inadequate and we've had to have someone else come in to fix it. We've been long time customers of Cambie Plumbing and its possible that Curtis has taken over Cambie Plumbing's business. If so, avoid retaining the services of Cambie Plumbing or Curtis. He will blame everything from pandemic to fire to flood. Do not advance funds to this guy. Its been months now and he refuses to refund our deposit Caveat Emptor

    Repair of leaky upstairs faucet

    The tap in the sink in the bathroom of our master bedroom would drip quietly at first so we would just ignore it. Then night after night, it would drip loudly during the middle of the night and disturb our sleep. Yet a good twist of the tap stopped the dripping so again we ignored. Finally, we realized we were losing sleep over this and phoned Cambie Heating and Plumbing. They fit us in at noon two days later and had it fixed in very little time and cleaned everything up. Such a relief to get this type of focused and inexpensive service on such an important piece of plumbing. THANK YOU, Cambie Heating and Plumbing.

    Furnace Service and Hot Water Tank service and replacement

    Several years ago, Cambie came through with furnace service work and restored heat for an elderly gentleman on two occasions on short notice. I chose Cambie because of their reputation and long service history. The first service job came easy (igniter replacement) and the second (circuit board) was more challenging but again they came through. More recently, with the hot water tank, Cambie went the extra mile with two service calls to extend the life of an old hot water tank. When the tank finally gave up its ghost, Cambie did a replacement and more. They detected and sealed a carbon monoxide leak that was caused by incredible shoddy installation of the original tank. The service didn't stop there. Cambie waived all billing for the two previous service calls. You don't see that anymore. That's goes back to a different kind of old school customer service of what I thought was a by gone era. All that hot water tank work, at that bargain rate, and in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. These are the people you want on the front line when you need work done promptly, professionally, and a great price. There's a reason why this company has been in business for nearly 75 years! Bruce

    Fixed few leaky toilets

    There's obviously a lot of plumbers to choose from in the lower mainland and after calling a few, I noticed that a lot of them have pretty filled schedules. I decided to go with Cambie and booked about a week in advanced to have some toilets fixed - they came in exactly on time and got the job done swiftly. Great company and nice people to work with.

    Great experience with some minor plumbing and heating work

    Dominic came by for two separate jobs for garberator and boiler vent work. Both times he and his crew were professional and efficient, getting the job done with quality. I'd call them again for future work.

    Dishwasher Removal and Installation

    We have recently purchased an old house and we use Cambie Plumbing and Heating for our plumbing needs. On this occasion we needed to replace an existing dishwasher with a new one that we had purchased. The problem was that the dishwasher drainage and plumbing to the old one was hooked up incorrectly ... very amateur like.... it seemed as if the previous owner just made due and hooked it up with what ever parts they had laying around. Anyways like previous jobs these parts were removed and the water supply and drainage was hooked up correctly. That is why I would recommend this company... they are good at fixing someone else's past mishaps and doing it right.

    Efficient, well-done, and honest

    The service was done in an efficient but professional manner and I'm very happy with the results -- my toilet is back to normal! The first invoice that they sent actually charged me less than what they should have, because they thought the part was supplied by me. Actually, the part was left here during a previous visit, so I let them know and got the invoice updated. Cambie Plumbing is definitely be my "go to" plumber who I have no hesitation recommending.

    40 year old water meter

    After being advised by the city that our old water meter needed replacing and that the downstream shut off had to be replaced by a plumber before they proceeded with the work we contacted Cambie Plumbing. They squeezed us in to a busy pre Xmas schedule. The plumber was prompt and courteous. Instead of proceeding with what could have been an expensive job, he pointed out that a functional downstream valve already existed further upstream. This meant the meter could be replaced without additional plumbing work. Honesty is hard to find sometimes. However Cambie plumbing was professional and honest.

    Tricky installation handled beautifully!

    I'd had a flood and was now installing a leak detection system. It's not a very common installation. Cambie Plumbing was one of the few companies that had the expertise. From Sally at reception, to Dominick's installation to follow up with Dan, the process couldn't have been better. They actually give a damn! How rare is that these days!
