Attic insulation Not knowing a thing about insulation and the rebates available, I was very impressed with Steve the salesman from Dominion who took the time to explain in great detail all my options. He provided me with all necessary literature to qualify his recommendations. The quote was the cheapest and the installation went off as Steve outlined. I have since told all my neighbours to call Steve.

attic insulation under flat roof I hired Dominion to insulate the space under my flat roof. Brian the salesman came and quoted me a price based on the estimated roof area. However, the area sounded too large and when I remeasured the area myself, I found it was 25% less than he had estimated. I called him back and he remeasured and found that I was correct and he adjusted the price accordingly. But if I hadn't remeasured I would have overpaid by $200 -- not a great first impression.

The guys came as planned to install the insulation and were efficient and the house is now much warmer. However, my roof required that many holes be drilled in the ceiling to make access points for the blown insulation. These holes created *a lot* of dust and required filling afterwards with drywall compound. The filling job was poor, because they did not have time to let the drywall set in the holes. As a result, it bulged out of each hole, looked very unsightly and created a job for me to fix. Also, they did vacuum but the dust got *everywhere* and I spent hours cleaning up afterwards. I felt I was not adequately briefed beforehand about how messy the job would be.

So I had a very mixed experience with Dominion. The installation was fast, the insulation works well and the price was good. But the mistake with the quote and mess left behind were real negatives.

Attic insulation Vincent was very accommodating by meeting me in the evening for the quote, and was able to meet my tight deadline. The workmen showed up as promised, took as long as expected, left the job site clean. Very satisfied customer.

attic insulation We had our attic insulated by Dominion. It was easy to book their time and they showed up as planned within a few days. They were very efficient, built a crate for the trap and blew the insulation in the attic. They were cheaper than other contractors, yet did a reasonable enough job.
