Quick but costly

A/C Unit Servicing Found them on homestars. Scheduled a service call and they actually showed up earlier than planned (bonus points there). The technician noticed the service valves were toast so the options are to replace the vales or replace the unit...we'll probably replace the unit. The only down side was they still charged the full service fee for a 2 minute job. They said if we buy through them we get refunded but I feel if they gave a discount upfront, it would make doing business with them again easier. Probably will bring them in for an estimate but seeing how they are using the refund as bait, I'm not sure if that leaves a good impression.

New furnace & humidier Recently purchased and had installed a new furnace with humidier. Pat came out to give me a quote and was very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to explain in detail the equipment and how it worked. The installation crew from Dupont was on time as promised. Their installation crew was very courteous and neat. The installation was done efficiently with no mess left behind. The overall experience was wonderful from the time I called to book an appointment right up to the completion of the install. I would highly recommend this company to everyone! Life long customer of Dupont Heating!!

AC install left me cold

Purchase and install new AC and humidifer We hired Dupont to purchase and install an AC unit & humidifier to our forced air system. They promised us that we would get a $50 rebate on the AC unit. However, the manufacturer did not want to honour that, and it was an ongoing issue. Then, a month after the installation, the water connection to the humidifier broke while I was in the hospital. We got home from the hospital to find 1/3 of our basement flooded. They came and fixed the connection. On the rebate issue, Dupont finally did help us get the rebate. I felt I really had to pressure them to live up to this part of their commitment to us. $50 is a small amount on a $4,000 job, but they might have been more helpful about it - especially as we never sought damages for the water damage done as a result of the poor connection to the humidifier.

They saved us from the cold!

Installed new furnace We had just moved into our house and the furnace was not working. The team at Dupont was great! Withing 2hrs of calling a service technicial was by to look at the problem, and 2hrs after that we had a quote and an install date set. They were professional and very knowledgeable, also helping us to take advantage of the various government grants and rebates avialable. They even dropped off space heaters to give us some heat until the new furnace could be installed.

Saved me in a jam

Heating Repair Last winter bought a house with my wife and two months into it our boiler kept turning off. Called a company to come check it out, telling me that it hadn't been clean in years but they will not be able to clean it. House temperature was droping quick and so I called Dupont. They came within two hours of my call, cleaned the boiler and walked me through the whole process. Their repair man was clean, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. Now with winter approaching, they are the first company I will call to do annual maintance. I recommend them highly.

Gas Stove Installation Used this company based on the excellent ratings it received on this site. The gas stove installation was done right with the technician being fast, courteous and considerate enough to show me all the details of his work. I recommend them highly and already have booked an appointment with the firm for my annual furnace maintenance.

New Furnace We recently purchased a new Carrie Infinity ultra high efficiency furnace from Dupont. Pat's in home consultation was excellent. He didn't try to sell us more than we needed and pointed out a few problem areas with our return ducting.

Mario and his team showed up on the Friday of a long weekend. They had to rip out the old furnace, do some duct work elsewhere in the house, install piping to our gas dryer, hook up a gas stove and install a new hot water heater. Most of the work was done in a very small space on a very hot day. They worked til 8pm. Mario then stayed and took another 45 minutes to explain how to use and maintain all the gas appliances. All this on a long weekend.

Well done Dupont. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

New furnace and air conditioning installation We recently got Dupont Heating and A/C to install two air conditioners and one new high efficiency furnace in our houise. The installation was somewhat complicated. We were worried about this install because we had some other mechanical contractor do some other work on the house which did not go well. Pat came and met with us. He was very professional. He came up with some sound solutions, was very confident in the abilities of his crew, gave us a written estimate and clearly explained what they would install and how. He made us feel at ease. Their pricing was very reasonable from our experience. The crew arrived as was scheduled, Mario listened to my initial concerns regarding aesthetics and they delivered. Mario and Vito worked very hard. They went that extra step to ensure that the work was done properly. They even fixed a number of items that were incorrectly installed by my previous mechanical contractor at no additional charge. We are both Architects. We work with mechanical contractors all the time. We rarely find a mechanical contractor that tries to see the whole picture and takes pride in those little details that so many other mechanical contractors do not care about. Dupont is one such contractor. We would have no reservation in recomending Dupont to anyone requiring heating and air conditioning work. new furnace and air conditioner When I called Dupont Heating they scheduled and in-house free of charge quote immediately. Pat came to my house and gave me a very educational info session on Carrier air conditioners and furnaces. I was extermely grateful for all the info since it allowed me to make an educated decision as to which units I was going to purchase. Other companies gave me quotes over the phone (not in writing) or never described exactly which units they were going to install. The following week the Dupont Heating installers came to my house at 8:30 am promptly. Mario, Sam and Samy installed my air conditioner and furnace quickly and neatly. They went above and beyond their responsibility by reinstalling some exhaust pipes to allow for more headroom in my furnace room. Furnace/Boiler Repair We had to have Dupont in to fix an issue with our boiler just as the temperatures outside started to drop. They made themselves available for us and were prompt and polite, fixing the boiler and agreeing to come back for a complete cleaning/service in the following days. We will use them from now on.
