Emerald is a rare gem!
“Believe all the great reviews on this site for Emerald movers! They mirror our experience and satisfaction. I write this review on behalf of my mother, who is a senior, and who was quite worried about the whole prospect of moving from her home of 30 years. David McClean, the owner, met with my mother and gave her a thorough, detailed estimate. More importantly, she found him to be friendly, personable, courteous and patient. He explained in detail how the packing, moving and unpacking would proceed. He answered all her questions and made things clear for her. She felt that he was very professional and someone she could trust. Moving was a three day process as she had chosen the full packing and unpacking service. Everything went smoothly. The crew consisted of three young men, one who did the packing and unpacking, and two who did the moving. All three were polite, hard working and good natured. They knew what they were doing and took care with my mother's possessions. What else could you ask for? The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. When you read about some of the unpleasant experiences that people have had with other moving companies, I can't imagine why anyone in Toronto wouldn't want to book with Emerald. Why risk disappointment when Emerald is this good? Hats off and great thanks to David and his crew for taking the stress out of moving for my mother. -Grant (for mum Helen) ”

Lived Up To All The Positive Reviews
“We found the company on this site. The crew was very professional and came fully equipped with every necessary tool and moving equipment. They started working right away and worked quickly and efficiently. It was clear they had done this before many times and knew exactly what they were doing. They wrapped all the furniture with moving blankets. We just sat back and watched as they did their work, finishing a hour quicker than the original estimate (they had come by earlier in the month for a free assessment and estimate). I'd recommend these movers to anyone that doesn't mind spending a bit more to ensure that their move day goes exceptionally well. In past moves, we've been subject to the usual tricks and annoyances that are common with sub-par movers (which I'm sure most readers can relate to all too well), and we didn't want to go through that again. Our only regret is that we didn't hire them to pack for us too! (After spending a few weeks killing ourselves packing everything, exerting much energy and time, especially the few days before the move, we decided afterwards that it would have been worth it to have them pack for us, a job they are able to do just one day before the move.) ”

the crew was exceptional
“The movers came in the midst of winter during a snowstorm. I was amazed they came in a reasonable amount of time. This was the second time we hired Emerald Moving. They're so efficient and very nice. Even bought us a coffee which was a nice gesture.They took things apart and put them back together.All in all we were very satisfied although the price was more than I thought it would be but then it happened during a snowstorm and they had to come from Toronto to Mississauga. I would hire them again!”

“I must say that my experience with Emerald is proof to me that David Maclean, General Manager and founder of this company, really has rather elevated moving to an art form. I was impressed by the quality and integrity of this operation from start to finish, both from a labour and customer-service perspective. He hand-selects his moving crews, who never lost their bright-eyed smiles during my 3-day move, one day each for packing, moving, and unpacking. Those who are looking for movers they can depend on to get the job done with honesty, elegance, transparency, punctuality and - most of all - intelligence - have found what they're looking for. Their pricing is competitive, but those for whom price is the top priority should look elsewhere. Those for whom a quality job is the top priority, especially those who have endured the pain, frustration, and exhaustion of trying to move themselves will find Emerald astonishingly inexpensive and absolutely worth every penny.”

Excellent Service for a Small Move
“We are getting our house ready to sell, and part of the process is to de-clutter. We had some furniture and several boxes to move from the house to a self-storage facility just a few blocks away. I was worried that this might be too small of a job for Emerald - I was wrong. From the moment my call was first answered to the moment we said goodbye to the movers, we were treated with nothing but courtesy. The movers were on time, VERY pleasant, and worked quickly and efficiently. The price was very fair. I would highly recommend Emerald to anyone considering a move, big or small. Advice: skip the DIY estimate - get someone to do an in-home estimate. There's no additional charge, and you will get a much more accurate estimate that way.”

Another Stress-Free Move!
“This was the 3rd time our family had used Emerald for a household move, and it was as easy for us as the other two! We wouldn't even consider moving with anyone other than Emerald. In this case, we needed to make arrangements in less than 2 weeks and they accommodated our needs with no problems or issues. They showed up early, were exceptional workers and they never stopped going until everything was all completed and furniture set up and placed just where we wanted it. It was a totally professional job from start to finish and, even though this was a high-rise move at both ends, they took even less time than had been originally planned. I don't hesitate to recommend them as #1 and certainly won't consider moving unless Emerald is available to do the job. Thanks especially to Joe -- you and your team are the best.”

Crew was Amazing
“We decided to call emerald movers from the reviews on this site and we are defintely glad we did. David came personally to give us a quote and did a very thorough job with everything we needed to know. He even offered several tips for packing that were appreciated. The crew arrived 30 mins early and were very professional. Each crew member introduced themselves to us by name and really made all the effort to ensure our move was stress free. They got right to work and ensured everything was wrapped and secure. They made sure we didn't have to lift a finger. They worked with a tight elevator and all furniture was safe! Upon arrvial in our new home they didn't stop until we were satisfied with where everything was and put everything back together. They moved us on a cold day and never once complained and there were no marks or scratches left. They put down mats that prevented any marks from being on the rugs. After a long day they left as cheerful as they came, we would defintely recommend them to anyone and would use them again. It is nice to know that there are people out there who can help make the moving experience enjoyable! ”
