Very responsive, cost effective, hi-tech communication
“I called one other company before calling Gable, the other company wanted $150 just to come and look at my roof. Gable provided reasonable repair estimate for free and show up the next day after my call. Within 2 days, Gable got my shingles repaired and did a detail roof inspection while they are up there. Gable recommended one additional preventive repair for a small charge, I agree and they fix it at the same time. Overall, very satisfied with their price and service. Gable utilize digital photo and email, pretty hi-tech for a roofing company. I would definitely recommend them. ”

Repair in the Snow
“In November, my dormer window started leaking so much that we needed 5 buckets everytime it rained. I called other companies (including Alpine, who said that I needed to get the 8 year old shingles on the north side of the house replaced. That was unnecessary, would not have fixed the problem and would have cost me $5000!) Gable Roofing did explain that they were swamped with work and bad weather, but would get to my dormer as soon as they could. In mid-December, in the middle of a snowstorm, Gable sent a very able man to start fixing my dormer. It took a couple of days and needed new wood and new siding, but it now looks great from the street and it is water tight. My bill was within $50 of the estimate. All of the staff that I dealt with were friendly and courteous. I would recommend Gable Roofing to anyone.”

Gable was a great choice!
“I got four quotes, with a wide range of prices. I had a second story deck that had to be removed before the roof was replaced. Gable was the only one that wanted to come back once the deck was off to see the situation. David was helpful and friendly. I had a leak and they got here within 3 days! The yard was spotless and the guys who did the roof were really nice too. Thanks guys!”

Exceptional company in every way.
“Snow on my mother-in-law's garage roof was melting quickly during a a warm spell this past winter and water was flowing down the inside wall and then down into the basement, flooding everywhere. Gable Roofing came within hours, shovelled the snow off the roof and dug trenches in the remaining ice to permit run off. They then sealed along the flashing for a temporary and effective repair until they could return when the weather was better (within a matter of weeks) and replace the gararge roof. Their prompt response in an emergency situation is unparalleled. They put my elderly mother-in-law at ease with calm and helpful workers and their workmanship is excellent. The cost was reasonable and fair. I can't say enough about this company. ”

A Very Postive Experience
“The home inspector said we needed a new flat roof on our recently purchased home just south of Girard near the Beaches. We got three quotes and Gable was the lowest. We were hesitant to accept the lowest quote (sometimes you get what you pay for), but they had WSIB, liablity insurance, had been in business for a number of years and showed up on Homestars with several positive reviews. Mike showed up on time to inspect the job, provided a written quote, answered all my questions at the time and responded promptly to my email and phone call questions. So we went with Gable Roofing. They showed up on time to remove the two layers that were on the roof, installed the new roof and cleaned up completely. We were very pleased dealing with Mike at Gable Roofing and would not hesitant to recommend Gable Roofing.”

Gable Roofing Was Professional and Trustworthy for a Small Job
“Overall, we were very pleased with Gable Roofing and recommend the firm as a professional, quality contractor. The scope of work we needed done was small. A strip of eavestrough on our two-story, semi-detached home had detached from the house. We searched for a few contractors, and found Gable Roofing on HomeStars.ca. Mike Binda answered our call promptly and promised to provide a quote after seeing the situation. The quote was very reasonable, and he gave us two options: (1) reattach the eavestrough to the house, (2) replace the eavestrough. We really liked his willingness to clean a downpipe that he saw was becoming clogged and his low-cost recommendation to only repair the eavestrough. He also took the time to give an assessment on the roof, which he said still had a few years left before needing work. We saw Mike's low-key sales approach, low-cost recommendations, and long-term suggestions as indicating he and Gable are trustworthy. The one area that Gable can improve on is timeliness - but that appears to be an industry issue. Gable Roofing was the only firm that actually arrived to give us an estimate, even though it was a couple days later than expected. The work project was small so Gable did not make us wait long to complete. They tasked a team to do the work when it could fit into a day's schedule. That was helpful to us as we did not need to rearrange our schedules to meet their schedule.”

Good work, timely and responsive
“I originally called about repairs to our evestrough, but after going on top of the roof to look at the evestrough Mike from Gable identified further work that was required on the roof. He emailed me some photos that he took corroborating the rationale and explaination for this work. I really appreciated this as it likely helped prevent future damage to the roof. His team came over a few days later and repaired the evestrough and roof. I was impressed by the care they took to clean up. Several weeks later I emailed Mike as the evestrough connection was not sealed properly and he responded to my email within two hours and sent someone over that same morning to repair this. Excellent service.”

Gable Roofing
“Gable did our flat roof in 2002 in such a professional manner, that we called them back this year to help close a gaping hole in a cedar-shingle Mansard front where an air conditioner used to be. This was Thursday. They were busy, but said they'd try to get it done on Sunday. Saturday night we came home to find the work already finished and perfectly done. The site was so clean we didn't even notice they had been there until we went to bed and saw the hole had been closed. Five stars.”
