Review from Customer of Jerry's Insulating Co. Ltd. Review left on 29 Mar 2019Rating: 1 out of 5Do your homework when it comes to upgarding roof insulation. Increased blown insulation levels which was done correctly, however, without suggesting the addition of baffles, the benefits expected are greatly diminished.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 21 Jul 2015Rating: 5 out of 5Spray foam after complete gut
Approx 1000sqft. 2 bedroom 1 bathroom complete gut down to the bones. Call was made to Jerry's for spray foam estimate. Received calls from company to confirm times/availability etc.. Craig came onsite and explained my options and within an hour had my estimate. Decided to go forward and glad I did. First truck arrived 7:30am. They prepp'ed the home wrapping up the windows, toilets, electrical boxes etc.. then wham. By 1pm I had spray foam. Second truck came in to top up the blown fiberglass into the attic space. Very professional. Arrived when they said they would. Called each time to verify appointment. Highly recommend. Kevin ScottReview from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 5 Apr 2014Rating: 1 out of 5Floor Joist and Wall Insulation
Beware..... in Mar. '07 I paid $ 1576.00 CAD for a substantial blow-in done by these people: appoximately 200 sq ft into 2x8" (floor joists) + 330 sq ft into 2x6 (ext) walls, and 150 sq ft into 2x4 (interior walls). Now doing a basement reno. opened up an adjacent ceiling to see that that two runs of 12 foot long floor joist cavity were paid for but not filled back then. Also, my neighbour and I who share a partition wall (semi-detached) want to fill 1 cavity of about 20 feet by 8" deep x 16 iunch wide... so about 27 sq ft x 8" deep floor space to dampen the transfer of sound.. (20 feet x 8 deep x 16 inches wide).... the quote from the company came in at over 800.00 CAD plus taxes! they said they's fill the old missing cavites for free.. I asked them to reconsider that pricing as it seems unbelievably expensive for such a small amount of space. They said that prices have gone up in the meantime, and would not lower the price. Two other companies have quoted their minimum service of 400.00 / 500.00 tax included - on the same work for both the partition cavity and the older missing cavities. Feeling just a bit gouged the unbelievable 'inflation' factor here.Answer from pro:
Thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback. We take all of our customers comments seriously. Being an established company unfortunately comes with higher overhead costs, and as a result we have minimum truck charges in place. Furthermore, all costs have gone up significantly since we last completed work for you 7 years ago; including such things as material prices and fuel costs. We certainly try to be competitive, but more importantly pride ourselves on the quality of our work. And after being in business for almost 40 years, we have come to learn that this does not always translate into being the 'cheapest' option available. Thanks again for your feedback.

Review left on 5 Mar 2012Rating: 5 out of 5New House - Insulation of entire home
I saw the number for Jerry's Insulating Co. on the side of one of their trucks. My husband contacted them and they were unbelievably great! They came out and did what they could almost right away, were continuously staying on top of the rest of the insulating job they had to do and completed the project in a clean, quick and professional manner. I was very pleasantly surprised with the fantastic service we received from them. We have been building this house using only word of mouth referrals, and since we did not have anyone for the insulation of the entire house we were left to our own to find someone. We are so glad we found Jerry's...and I will definitely, gladly refer them to anyone else who asks me for a great insualting company...I already have referred them to a few of my neighbours! Thank you Jerry's for such a terrific job!Answer from pro:

Jerry’s insulating did an EXCELLENT job on our new home insulation. We had spray foam in all the walls and batts in the attic. They not only did a great job but they also alerted us to issues with improperly sealed duct work (something that would have negatively impacted our HVAC had we not been informed of the issue). The team arrived on time, kept a tidy work site AND took away all their garbage at the end of the job (a rarity in the construction world!) We are left with a toasty warm house that requires very little to heat and keep warm. I have recommended the company to friends and would use again.Answer from pro:
We appreciate the great review and your feedback. Glad to hear your home is toasty and warm. Please pass on the good word to your friends and neighbours.

Review left on 26 Oct 2011Rating: 0 out of 5Insulate Attic With R-28 Blown Fiberglass 10"
This work was done May 13, 1996. I trusted that it was done according to my contract, which I still have. I've just had a home energy audit done and was told that my attic needed to be insulated. Shocked, I said that it was done to a total R value of R-40 from the existing R value of R-12. The audit guy said it was only R-14 at best. He added that the existing insulation of black mineral wool was not covered by the fiberglass at all in places. He said if it had been done to R-40, the insulation would be around 24" thick. He showed me pictures that he had just taken and I went up to look myself. I feel scammed and frankly, surprised that they are still in business!Answer from pro:
Cynthia, We pride ourselves on exceptional customer satisfaction and are disappointed to read your review. Please note that insulation does settle over time and R40 would reflect 15" of insulation in total rather than 24" as your energy auditor had perhaps indicated. We have been in business for over 35 years which we believe reflects our honesty, integrity and workmanship and we certainly we appreciate your feedback.

Review left on 2 Dec 2010Rating: 4 out of 5New blown in insulation in the attic
Insulation was blown in the attic and flat roof rear room in approx 1 hr. Clean up was ok except they forgot to vacuum once closet floor (I eneded up doing it)and there was some black sticky goop left on the floor in the rear room. It took half a bottle of goof off and the better part of an evening srubbing it off the floor. Not sure where that stuff came from. The lads were pleasant and I would recommend using Jerry's Insulation. Nothing glamourous to report on getting blown in insulation.Answer from pro:
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that your experience was a good one. We apologize for the oversight of missing one area during the clean up. Our installers are encouraged to treat each home they go into, like their own, and proper clean up is certainly part of our service.
