Workers installed several pieces of hardwood floor that were already cracked and tried to conceal them with paste. I had to argue with company owner to have them replaced. His excuse was it wasn't his fault I bought "cheap wood"!? While I ended up having a few extra boxes, the defective pieces could have easily been discarted instead of put in. He also complained I didn't give him enough money despite paying the agreed price per square feet. I would not recommend or rehire this contractor.

We called Jose up to refinish our hardwood floors upstairs and stairs and he was very nice. He came out to look at it and suggested to replace the floors since the originals were almost worn out. It turned out we ended up replacing the hardwood for about $500 more than it would have cost us to refinish the whole floor. He came back later after our new railing was put in to sand and stain the stairs and railing. Him and his workers did a fabulous job and I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks!

Miranda Flooring was by far the best priced of all the quotes we received to refinish our 60 year old oak floors. After Jose quoted us on refinishing our lower and upper hallways including a flight of stairs, he strongly suggested that we re-do the adjoining living and dining room floors as well, so that everything would match. At first it seemed to be a considerable added expense, but after everything was completed, we are glad that we took his advice. The floors look beautiful. Jose's crew, especially Antonio and Pedro did a wonderful job. What I appreciated about Miranda Flooring the most, was their willingness to get the business. At their suggestion, they took on the responsibility of ripping up carpet, removing and re-installing existing quarter-round (when a competitor said it was too old to be removed without breaking), and moving our furniture (including an old upright piano). We are very happy with Miranda Flooring and would definitely use them again.

Just happened to be reading Homestars and took a chance on hiring Jose to install hardwoods throughout my house. He was respectful, showing up on time to provide an estimate and subsequently installed the floor when he said he would and did a great job. The whole experience was quite pleasant. John

We had all of the oak hardwood floors refinished by Jose and his crew. Our house is approximately 50 yrs old and most of the wood was in good condition (covered by carpeting etc) but there were few sections that were questionable. Jose came by the same evening and gave a quote that was very competitive compared to other contractors listed here. His workers started the job on time and finished as scheduled. He even made some custom thresholds for us because of the height difference between our tile and hardwood floors, they turned out beautifully. Our floors look wonderful now and we're very happy that we chose him and would recommmend him to our friends.
