We have used this company for years, and have never been happy with their service. Last year they damaged our garage door, and refused to do anything to repair it or compensate us. We reluctantly signed with them again, as the competition was either unavailable or too expensive.
This year, their service got even worse. After Toronto was hit with 25 cm of snow, they did not come to clear our driveways until 6 days later, when we had already resorted to doing it ourselves. They were impossible to reach by phone or email. I finally got a reply after threatening to take them to Small Claims Court. They indicated that they had truck difficulties, and offered nothing in terms of compensation. They have yet to reply to subsequent messages from me, or any of the messages from my neighbour.
The company demands the full contract payment at the start of the season, so we have fully paid for their services for the entire season. In return, they are not even sufficiently resourced to be able to reply to all of their customers, by email or telephone. $2,200 paid to them, and they can't return a phone call?
We originally hired them under a different company name. Rosedale Snow Removal was aggressively advertising for new clients in our neighbourhood this season, so we contacted them only to be told that they are the same company. I have also learned that they go by other 2 other names, all registered to the same business address.
