Magical Mike
“After a raw sewage flood in December 2007, four days after moving into our home, the previously "renovated basement" needed to be redone.We had initially hired someone to do the work, but did not get a great vibe from him. Our realtor suggested we seek out help from Homestars. We did our research and thankfully found Sonoma Contracting. Mike came to give us an estimate and we found him to be a very professional, knowledgeable contractor. We had heard horror stories regarding contractors and were very reluctant to trust anyone. Mike made everything seem effortless and made suggestions that made sense for our space. Mike and all his crew were courteous, reliable and provided a sense of humor during the course of the renovations. Even during a very difficult family time Mike was available and took little time off from the project. We cannot thank Mike enough for the tremendous job he did. Aside from a few unexpected plumbing pipe issues his quote was on budget and the project completed on time. We are thrilled with our new basement and have already recommended Sonoma Contracting to friends. We will definitely use Sonoma Contracting for our next renovation project without hesitation. “We had Mike in to quote drywalling our basement. This was my first time doing framing so I knew there were a few areas that needed fixing up. We had planned to have 3 quotes done with different homestars contractors, but decided not to after talking with Mike about the project and looking at the details with him. He was prompt with the quoting even with 3 different versions we requested. The job was done very quickly, and looks great, the detail work was done better than I could have expected. Sonoma left the site very clean every day. I would definitely recommend Sonoma to anyone who needs some work done.”

“We researched and had several contractors come in to give us a quote on the work we wanted to have done. When we met Mike, we knew right away that he was honest, fair, and he definitely knew what he was doing. Both my husband and I knew that we picked the right person for the job that we wanted to have done. Mike (the contractor), Chris (the electrician), John (the taper), and the two painters Mike knew did a fantastic job. We appreciate all of the hard work, and long hours they put in. We would recommend Sonoma Contracting to anyone (in fact, we have already recommended Mike and the Boys to several people). Again, great work guys. We are so happy with everything you have done”

Mike was AWESOME!
“Mike from Sonoma was recommended to us and after getting a number of quotes, we did not hestitate to go with him. He is professional, reliable, honest and efficient. We needed to get our basement redone after we had a basement leak and waterproofing. Mike came in and did an amazing job in a few days. He kept us updated throughout the project. “It isn't often that you find someone who will go out of their way for you. Mike is that kind of person. Our basement was flooded and to make a long story short, I was 8 months pregnant and our basement was in need of reconstruction in a hurry. Mike made special arrangements to take on the job, working late into the night and on weekends. The baby came early, but due to Mike's extra efforts (under difficult circumstances too - I was in the hospital for a week and he had to work around that!), the walls were put back up before the baby came home and he finished a very large job on schedule and on budget, as promised. He did an excellent job adding a few design elements and we are very happy with the work. Mike is a great guy to boot and a pleasure to have in our house - he really cares about the quality of his work. He left everything clean and our basement looks great. We will definitely hire him again for future work (& recommend him to our friends) - thanks Mike!”

“When I decided to redo my kitchen, the one thing that I feared the most was hiring a contractor who would take advantage of the situation. NOT MIKE!!!!
