Full renovation, first floor and part of second floor
Our experience with Sonoma Contracting far exceeded our expectations. Briefly, we want to tell you why.
Try to imagine deciding to do a major renovation of your home, finding a contractor, working out all the details and then leaving your 100 year old semi-detached house completely in their hands, while you leave the county for four months?
Well, that’s exactly what we did!
Initially, Mike worked with us very patiently, through several revisions of a very detailed scope of work. He then stayed in touch with us ‘virtually’ as needed, throughout renovation. Mike and Aldo were very creative in solving some gnarly problems that were uncovered during demolition, and kept as much as possible within budget. As work proceeded, we were so confident in them that we just we just asked them to do what they would do, if it was their own home.
There were no surprises, until we returned home.
When we opened the front door and saw our ‘new’ home for the time we were truly blown away. Our previously dark first floor was filled with light, from a huge second floor skylight, shining on new ceilings, walls and floors, complimented by beautiful lighting and custom trim work. A lovely powder room was creatively added into a very small space. There is more of course, but we said we would be brief.
As self-declared ‘picky’ clients, we are so grateful for the expertise and excellent attention to detail that Mike, Aldo and each of the talented tradespeople on this team contributed, to create our beautifully renovated home.
Throughout this ‘long distance’ renovation relationship, Mike, Aldo and each member of their team were trustworthy, professional, and very highly skilled. Communication was great and we parted friends.
We could not be happier with the stunning transformation of our home by Sonoma Contracting, completed while we were thousands of miles away.
