    Hardwood flooring

I had oak flooring installed in my condo. April 2014. The installer (Chris) was very committed to the job he was faced with. The concrete floor was not at all level. He took great care in making sure everything was done properly. I would recommend Surfside Flooring 100% . Right from walking in the front door of the store, Dora and Brian were there to help me.

Removed carpet and installed engineered wood and baseboards

Surfside took out rugs that were 20 years old and cleaned everything up, they did a great job with this. They installed wood and baseboards and did a great job. The ssles staff were really good, they were really helpful and gave lots of samples to take home. The project was finished on time as well as on budget.

    hardwood floor installation

Hardwood flooring experience of a lifetime. We tackled a kitchen reno. Brian & Dora made it so easy, from allowing us to take home large samples to working around our hours, they were most accomadating. Passing on their knowlege so that we could make a well informed decison leaving us with beautiful floors we will enjoy for a long time to come.

    purchased floor and installation

Ordered a floor and installation, first there was a delay in the delivery of the product. Not what the store owner had promised. The worst came when the "pro-installer" applied the floor and it was the worst installation any of our friends had seen. There are wide gaps in between the planks and all one colour was applied in one spot, then darker all in a row. There are very short 1 foot planks towards the end because the installer said he was running out of pieces. Then he admitted that he had a bunch of "leftovers" from the job in his truck, when he brought them in there were long sections of more than 4 feet. He nailed into the bamboo floor and damaged the material right at the entrance to the room. When we complained to the store they came and the installer said he would fix it. When he tried to fix it he "drilled" holes beside the damage and made "new" holes. I begged him to stop, now he was causing MORE damage and not repairing the old. The store NEVER followed up and asked if we were satisfied. Our friends tell us to go to small claims court. We would never, never purchase another product from this store and we have recently purchased another home which requires all new hardwood. But we will most definitely be going to a more reputable dealer. Whatever you do, don't hire "Surfside" to install your floors.

    Hardwood Flooring

Family run business that takes customer service seriously. Had laminate installed in front entrance and kitchen 3 years ago still looks great and no problems to report. Had Maple hardwood installed in living room following year and was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. Highly recommend this company.
