Ted King was Exceptional once again!
“I first reviewed Ted a couple of years ago when he did our pool deck/enclosure for us. He did such a great job that I had no choice, but to hire him again for our kitchen renovation. Our kitchen included a complete demo, wall removal and new support beam, heated porcelain floor, new electrical and lighting an a most beautiful back splash. Ted's attention to detail was the best. He did most of the work on his own, but when he needed to sub-contract, there wasn't a glitch in the timing or quality. As with our last experience with Ted, he listened to our every idea or concern and there was never a problem. As before, we will use Ted again for any future renovation.”

Ted is an amazing and patient man.
“We hired Ted King Contracting to get a our kitchen ready for an installation. This meant a tear down, tile floor, re-route electrical, deal with the unforeseen behind a wall that came down, set up for a gas stove, back splash and the list goes on. My husband and I are not savvy home improvement people but we knew what we wanted just had no idea how to get there. Ted was incredibly patient and reasonable with us. We have been burned many times in the past by contractors. Ted made us really feel well taken care of and he is exceptionally clean and respectful which is important when you have a baby at home. We would use Ted again and again and we highly recommend him for many types of jobs. ”

Wonderful Worker
“First let me say that we found Ted King via Home Stars. His reviews were great, thus we decided go with him for the renovations we wanted to do on our basement and we're very happy we did. He's a great worker who showed up on time each day. His work ethic is top notch and shows itself in the quality of his workmanship. He's very knowledgeable and helpful. A few of the things he did for us are as follows: installed new kitchen cupboards, installed pot lights, built a closet in the bedroom, finished off two little pantries including the installation of ceramic tile, installed two closet organizers, installed an exhaust fan in the bathroom. We've already decided that Ted will be the guy we hire for any future renovations. Everyone who has seen the work he did for us has been very impressed by the quality of the workmanship. Thanks Ted!”

Hardwood flooring and stairs
“We were referred to Ted by a mutual friend and thrilled with the job he did. Once he starts a job, he's there till its done, which is not easy to find in a contractor. He takes pride in his work and is most certainly very trust worthy with the care of your home. He came in on a Tuesday and was completely done 750 sq ft of hardwood flooring which included 2 sets of stairs and a small landing by the Sunday at dinner time in 4 days. We made the right investment in using Ted King. Recommend him, absolutely! We will definetly be using him for future projects in our home as well. Kitchen Addition
“Ted has just completed an addition to our kitchen, which involved removing an exterior wall of the house. From the initial planning stage to completion, he supported our ideas, was always available to answer questions, offered suggestions that improved the final outcome, started and finished on time and respected our concerns with protecting adjoining areas of our home during the reno. After experiencing a frustrating bathroom reno with a major company a year ago, our experience with Ted has renewed our faith in a skilled contractor. Ted is a true professional, a joy to work with and has given us a room we are thrilled with.”

Great basement finish
“When we looked at having our basement finished, we reviewed many contractors Having that sense of comfort from a person was very important to us as we were trusting them with our home. The minute Ted came in and we started to talk, he gave us that exact feeling. The quality of his work is fantastic - and better still, his ability to look at things from our point of view, and suggest improvements that really are about improving the design, and not about increasing the quote. He was not only on time, and accurate with his quote - he and his crew were brilliant. Each day we came home from work the work area was cleaned up (a very nice touch). We look forward to calling him for our next project.”

Bathroom build and reno.
“Ted did a complete bathroom build on the lower level of my home (custom shower) and redid the tiles and bathtub upstairs. Ted is a knowledgeable contractor who is a joy to work with. Always on time, worked all day and cleaned up. The workmanship was exceptional. Beautifully finished walls, tiles, lighting etc. I would not only highly recommend Ted King, I would also use him for any other renovation. G & A Kerr”

“Ted is a master at organizing large jobs. He successfully coordinated a team of professionals (architect, excavators, plumber, HVAC, building inspectors, etc.) to get the job completed efficiently and on schedule. His work ethic, attention to detail, and obvious love of what he does made Ted a joy to work with. We didn't hesitate to trust him with a key for the duration of the project, knowing we could rely on him to respect our home. Ted provided and implemented several excellent design suggestions during the project to improve the finished product - without driving the overall cost up. We would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking a reliable and cheerful contractor and we look forward to working with Ted again on future reno projects.”

Three Great Experiences with Ted King Contracting
“Ted has completed three major jobs for us over the last four years. In six weeks, he did extensive renovations on a newly purchased house: new floor tiles, new windows, wall tiles, some new doors, all new baseboards, installing new tubs, glass enclosed showers to name only some of the work completed. He accepted the additional task of totally renewing two bathroom that were not in the original contract, and still came close to meeting the original deadline for completion. For certain tasks such as extensive plumbing work, the installation of the shower enclosures and windows Ted recruited subcontractors with standards that equal his own, successfully co-ordinating their movements and the work of others such as painters and hardwood floor installers for maximum productivity. The house is beautiful, as are the other projects he has completed for us: a finished basement with full bathroom, and a lovely, large cedar deck. This last project was completed while we were away on a trip, which shows the degree of trust we have come to place on Ted. Ted's commitment to excellence, his fair pricing and his client-friendly approach have made it a pleasure to work with him. ”

Great work from Ted King!
“I know that Ted�s specialty is kitchens and bathrooms, but because he is an experienced carpenter, he also did a great job on our deck and spa enclosure. Ted was as professional as one would want in a contractor. He worked full days, barely taking time for lunch. The project went very smoothly and Ted built everything up to and beyond expected standards, to the point that my family and I feel that Ted has created a showpiece in our backyard. What I especially liked was that Ted would advise me on issues needing attention and his solutions for those issues. He patiently listened to my concerns &/or suggestions and either explained why they may not work or he would implement them. We never came to loggerheads on any issue, as we always arrived at an agreed solution. I will definitely call Ted the next time I require any construction or renovation.”
