Tom is a nice guy, but I could have been happier - respond

“Tom at TML was hired to do some roof work at my place. The roof work he did was fine, but the critical issues I had, like some leaks near my skylights, did not get the attention I had asked for. Though he assured me when he left 'they were fine' (they are not fine). I hired Tom from TML and paid the bill without question cause I had to get some emergency roofing work done. He came highly recommended by a neighbour, and though he was sick for weeks, he came through on the job. But he didn't explain upfront that he didn't want to do the cualking and flashing work I needed, and kept changing the priority of the work I wanted done. In the end, he did all the shingle work, and the details he didn't want to cover off, he told me to get someone else to handle ("not my specialty".. would have been nice to know that upfront). Then the guy he referred me to do the flashing and whatnot - a complete no show. So Tom's roofing is fine - for roofing. Don't deviate in any way, and you will be happy. Courteous, got receipts, ”
