A Touch of Design is an interior decorating and design company that strives to help clients create inspired settings in which to live or work. The firm provides design and decorating services and specializes in providing advice in residential areas. A Touch of Design builds its reputation by developing strong client relationships and values meeting the needs of the client using a highly consultative role. Clients can expect their projects to come to fruition on time and within budget. The realization of a unique solution with attention to every detail is the ultimate outcome.
The firm provides the following services:
Mini Consultation
• A two-hour session that provides advice in areas such as space planning, colour selection, textiles, window and wall treatments, flooring, lighting, and selection and arrangement of furnishings and accept pieces
Full Concept Designs
• From “ground up” planning to existing room makeovers, this service involves a series of client consultations and produces drawings and specified materials
Planning and Implementation
• Taking the client the additional steps beyond design, this stage results in full project execution. Trade specialists are recommended and services provided include planning, sourcing, scheduling, and overseeing of all phases of the project through to completion.
With an extensive background in client relations and consulting, Janice has developed working relationships with a network of professionals in Mississauga and surrounding areas. She also has an ever-expanding roster of suppliers and importers from across Canada.

Money well spent
“I believe in value for my money. I hired Janice to help me with paint colour selections and window treatments that would tie in with my open concept main floor area. I could only afford to paint the main floor once so wanted to ensure the colours would all blend. In the two hours I spent with Janice she provided me not only a colour chart and suggestions for window treatments but in addition gave me all sorts of ideas to accessorize the rooms. I proceeded with painting two of the rooms and changing the window treatments in both....and now have a plan to complete the remaining rooms when my budget will allow. ”

A Touch of Desigh's professional services acheive great results
“We had used Janice on a previous renovation project to select our colour combinations including paint, floor coverings and new office furniture. The finished project far exceeded anything we would have accomplished on our own. As a result of working with Janice on this project we decided that for the next phase of renovations we would use Janice's services from start to finish. This included designing new office space, demolition and construction. Lighting,paint, floor coverings and furniture selection were all managed by Janice. Quality sub-contractors and materials were used to achieve professional results. Janice is now managing phase 3 of our renovations - obviously we have been very happy with how Janice has managed these projects and the end product!”

“Our designer Janice from A touch of Design was amazing. My husband Rick and I absolutely love our new Bedroom and Ensuite Bathroom. Janice achieved a look of elegance while still appealing to both feminine and masculine tastes. We were able to save a lot of money by ordering draperies and custom upholstered pieces directly from A Touch of Design. We had always disliked our bathroom but with a few simple changes Janice saved us the cost of a complete renovation by bringing in the right paint and mirrors etc. We are thrilled and are currently working with Jancie to renovate our kitchen and livingroom.
