We had an old wooden deck in our backyard that we decided have it demolished and replaced with a new Trex deck. We believed an even older deck lay underneath. We also decided to replace an adjacent wooden fence and gate and have a nearby interlocking walkway levelled properly as it had become very uneven and a tripping hazard. We hired Maty Construction. Afsin (the owner of Maty Construction) was very professional and listened to our needs. He also made design suggestions. He suggested that we could chose an additional colour to border the deck. Prior to the construction, he sent us 3D renderings of our new deck. At every stage of the process, Afsin communicated with us clearly, answered our questions and kept us well informed. He is honest and reliable. We all had proceeded on the assumption that the deck had been built on top of an old deck and the new deck could use the previous decks footings. However, when the old deck was demolished, there was a surprise. There was no other deck underneath and it was now evident that the deck had been constructed in a very inadequate nonstandard way. It did not have any concrete footings at all, no black tar paper (to keep out moisture) and no gravel. Instead the wooden frame did not have any joists taped and had been just placed on top of the soil. As a result, our deck took a little longer than any of us had foreseen because the area below the new deck had to be dug out, concrete footings poured, black tar paper added, followed by gravel, then the frame constructed before the Trex planks were attached. Throughout this process, Afsin and his team worked very hard to ensure our new deck would be built properly. They also worked long hours. Once the deck had been finished, they constructed a new fence and gate and levelled the interlocking brick walkway. We are thrilled with our new deck, fence, gate and the levelling of the walkway. We are assured that our new deck will last because of both the Trex 25 year warranty and the excellent quality of its construction. We appreciate the workmanship. It looks beautiful and we will enjoy using it. We would highly recommend Maty Construction to anyone looking to build or replace a deck and/or fence.

My toilet was making strange noises & Alex was the 1st to respond to my request. He diagnosed it correctly over the phone as he told me it was most likely the shutoff valve inside the toilet & quoted me the price ($198 +tax). If it was the valve outside, there would be an additional charge but he'd only replace that if necessary. (It was not necessary.) He told me he would not charge extra although it was a holiday (Canada Day.) He arrived promptly the next day. He was friendly and considerate (my husband is a night shift worker and was sleeping.) He also put on booties to protect my floors. He worked quickly and professionally replacing the inside valve and did the job. He also gave me some advice (the handle is metal, heavy & tends to pull on the lever and therefore on the flapper.) I'd highly recommend him.

Milestones did a great job. We needed our eavestrough (with gutter guards) replaced as quickly as possible. They gave us a reasonable quote and suggested relocating the downspout .(It was discharging onto the driveway, creating an ice patch in the winter.) They were able to get it replaced quickly. Their staff were efficient and polite and worked with us to find the ideal spot for the downspout discharge. They left the job site clean and tidy. We were very pleased and would highly recommend this company.

My husband and I moved to a renovated house - we noticed a cold draft coming from the stove hood in the basement kitchen. As well, both exhaust pipes were not properly insulated. We called Oleg who came out at looked at them and gave us an estimate as the incorrect exhaust vents had been installed. His team came out, insulated the exhaust pipes and replaced vents with the correct vents. They also put a vent cover on our dryer exhaust (which was under a large porch). We found them very helpful, professional in contrast to many HVAC companies (who don't even reply to requests). We would definitely use them again for any other HVAC needs we might have. Highly recommend.

We highly recommend this company. My husband and I moved to another house and had a list of items we wanted done prior to move in. The items included removing metal bars from a bedroom window, removing some baseboards, assembling & installing medicine cabinets, installing shelving, shortening a stair railing, caulking and creating a door to the basement apt where previously there was only an open passageway. (It required drywalling, framing, installing the door & handle and trimming it.). Matt and his team were a joy to work with, they did an excellent job and worked quickly and neatly. We are very pleased with the quality of their work and the cost was very reasonable for about a day and half of work. (The drywalling required several applications over a couple of days.) Attached is a photo of the door prior to painting. We highly recommend Matt and his company for all of your handyman needs. A+ UPDATE: I used Matt again for 2 small jobs this time: moving a hose reel outside (which involved drilling into brick) and replacing a door handle with a keyed handle. As before, he worked quickly and did a great job. Highly recommend. SECOND UPDATE: My neighbour noticed the eavestrough at the back of the house was coming loose (Matt fixed the eavestrough at the front when we first moved here). I called Matt and he fixed it this morning along with the flashing that unknown to me was also coming loose. Matt as before, worked quickly and a did a great job. (it was $135.25 total). Our family highly recommended him and his company.

We hired Europa for 2 moves in short succession -the first was for my daughter & son-in-law's move (1 bedroom apt), the second was for my husband and myself. Both crews were fast, efficient and personable. They moved our belongings with care and we were very pleased with both moves. Our daughter's move was about $700 and our was about $1400. There were no hidden charges and Europa made moving stressfree. We'd highly recommend them.
