We started our renovation with such high hopes but the project ended prematurely (and was left incomplete) leaving us with absolute disappointment. We had to hire another company to fix the shoddy work Luis left behind. Luis can do alot of things but unfortunately in our home he did nothing really well. Based on the work he did for us, I can only conclude that he is nothing more than a glorified handyman parading as a professional contractor. My suggestion is to keep looking. He was a nightmare. If you read Luis' reply to this post, don't believe a word - just look at the pics. He is trying to paint me as the problem when he needs to look into the mirror. This job was not finished as Luis was fired from the project due to poor workmanship. He makes it sound like he returned my money but this is untrue. He paid back a small portion of the pre-paid installment payments which were made in good faith and on time. Despite what he says below, he just could not deliver what he promised and what he did deliver was generally sub-par. A third contractor (not hired) that saw pics of the work said, "The picture you sent me needs to be completely torn out, absolutely terrible work, Im not touching that with a 12ft pole. Sorry man, dont take it the wrong way. Im not interested in fixing anyone elses work or having someone elses work be the base for my work. If youre not willing to tear that out, Ill pass."

Even after the project was completed, David remained responsive and quick to address any questions or small adjustments we needed. Sam and his team did a fantastic job repairing the damage in our basement as a result of flooding from the rainstorms this summer. They were fast, efficient and professional. The basement looks better than originally. Sam went out of his way to find the exact molding so it would match. I was really happy with the results. We had a previous contractor perform a horrible reno on our onsuite bathroom last year and the shower started leaking - right through to the living room below. Wojtech and his team did a fantastic job of gutting the bathroom and remodelling exactly as requested as well as fixing the ceiling in the living room. We encountered some additional structural problems due to the terrible job done by our first contractor (hope there's a special place in hell for that guy). Wojtech fixed it all without extending our schedule and with minimal additional cost. All work was done extremely professionally and we are very happy with the results. I highly recommend their work and will definitely use Protek for any further projects that may come up.

I needed some work done to update the basement and some room upstairs. I found it difficult to find a reliable good working contractor that would not leave me in a lurch. I found Ben the Builder. I was pleasantly surprised with his work and work ethic. He listen to what I needed and delivered all at a reasonable price. He called when he knew he would not be able to work. He also provided regular updates as to progress or called if there were any questions or concerns. Good all around jack of all trades.

The experience we had was absolutely terrible! We DO NOT recommend this company. We've spent over $50,000 and still have an incomplete kitchen. We told Dan at Caledon Renovations, from the very beginning, that we needed the renovation completed as quickly as possible to sell and relocate for work. Dan told us that he could complete the work in 4 weeks. On June 3rd, 2024, demolition began on our whole main floor. Once demolition was complete, no one showed up for 2 weeks. We were constantly told there were issues sourcing product, finally, when he showed up with the floor tile, it was not what we had picked but decided to continue anyway to speed up the renovation. It is now August 7th and it still not done. There were several quality issues that were addressed several times and Dan offered to come back to fix these issues for a 3rd time - we declined. The final straw was when we had a subcontractor show up at our house demanding money or he would place a lean on our house. After speaking to this gentleman, we found out that Dan had not paid him and said it was because we owed money - we were paid up to date. When we told Dan we do not want to work with him because of the trouble he has caused, he offered a refund of $1200 for upper kitchen cabinet doors. Even though we were not satisfied with the refund amount, we agreed. We told him to pick up his sign from our home and give us the refund. That was 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from him. We now have to hire another contractor to finish the renovation which is going to cost us more money and time.

I hired this company to repair my roof and remove a large tree that was growing too close to the house. They were excellent from start to finish. The team arrived on time, assessed everything carefully, and explained the work in a way that was easy to understand. The roof repair was done quickly and with great workmanship. They fixed the damaged shingles, sealed everything properly, and made sure the roof was secure and protected. The tree removal was handled safely and professionally—they took down the branches and trunk without causing any damage, and cleaned up the entire area afterward. I’m really happy with the results.
