Purchase and Installation of new air conditioner
After 27 years of service my Carrier home air conditioner died. Having purchased both this unit and a furnace from A1, I contacted them to discuss replacing the A/C unit. A salesman (Gord Burns) was at my home the same evening to discuss my options and arrange to have a new unit installed within 48 hours. Gord seemed very knowledgeable and did not try to sell me a larger unit that I needed.
Mike (lead installer) and Mike (supporting installer) were at my home at 7:00 am, today as promised to start the installation. The first thing I noticed (and to some this may seem trivial) was that they put down a cover "carpet" on all surfaces where there were rugs, to protect them (my rugs) from dirt. Once they had "protected the working area they worked quickly and efficiently for the next 3.5 hours removing the old equipment and installing the new Carrier unit. Once they had finished, they test the unit to ensure it was working properly, tweaked one or two minor thing and then explained the key features of the new system, answered all of my questions. Before they left they made sure the areas where they had worked (inside and out) were cleaned and free of any debris.
The 2 Mike's were extremely courteous, pleasant to deal with and seemed to thoroughly know exactly what they were doing. It was a pleasure dealing with both of them.
