As a seasoned sales person, I appreciate good customer service which can often be disgraceful to put it mildly. A1 Air Conditioning & Heating fulfilled all my home heating and cooling needs professionally with a smile upon their faces and in their voices from beginning to end. Just call them, you'll see!

Prices are reasonable and service is excellent, friendly and fast. They put in our air conditioner as well about 9 years ago. The servicemen have always explained what they were doing, and even told us some things about our existing system that we didn't know!

replaced motor when what we needed to be replaced was the circuit board.... that's after we 'argued' with the repairman that we thought it was the board and not to motor that needed replacement. Repairman answers"been doing this for 20 years, I'm telling you it's the motor" we decided to take his advice... cost $1,500. Next day same problem with furnace... office says cannot come at night must be a call between 9 -5 etc.etc..... worst service ever.... now we need to replace the board (obviously NEVER going witht that company again) ... another $1500 that we have to spend...... old motor?? god only knows where it's gone to.....

Just had our 30-year old furnace and water heater replaced by A1 A/C & Heating. We selected them based on a recommendation from a neighbour, and after comparing quotes from four companies.

The salesman, Gord, gave good advice, and I was particularly pleased that he recommended that we stick with a simple 'natural draft' water heater, rather than the more elaborate power-vent or tankless models. The job was completed promptly, and the crew was professional. Although they were a little reluctant to grind the furnace vent holes through the fieldstone foundation instead of above it, they did not make an issue of it and the job was completed exactly as originally planned.

Karen, the receptionist, phoned a few days latter to check that everything was okay, and Gord came to inspect the work the following week.

After much confusion with a maintenance check on the hot water on demand system, the heater and a/c units, the issue was finally resolved. I needed to have all the units properly functioning prior to the sale of the home.
Shawn from A1 came back and resolved the issue with no extra charges. I had an extremely hard time dealing with Janet, the rep in the service department. She was very rude and difficult and tried to charge me more for the second visit. Shawn, the rep that visited twice, was much more helpful and explained everything in greater detail and offered to provide further paperwork if necessary. He was very polite and was genuinely interested in helping me make sure everything was working properly (and provide proper documentation) for all the units.

On the hottest day of the year, the air conditioner just stops working, no warning. Had only used it for about 3 months in total. Called and left a message, about 10 minutes later got a call, said he was too busy today, that they would come by tomorrow.

Our HRV had stopped working and Mike came in and determined that the motor was seized. He callem back when he promised and gave us the estimate for replacing in motor. Mike came back and replaced the motor on time and on the specified day.
