Clarke Basement Systems

This is about concrete levelling, the other service provided by Clarke Basement Systems. While the work was done (and fully paid for) on the scheduled date, there was an issue with a new crack and a gate that would not close. It took over 2 months to resolve. Emails not returned, four cancelled appointments and finally a go-ahead for me to find someone else to fix the job. To finish the job, I bought $200 in polymeric sand to fill spaces between concrete slabs and paid over $450 to fix my gate. After 2 months they did pay the bill for gate repair and I had an apology from the owner. Hoping this was an isolated service experience.

Emails not returned, four cancelled appointments and finally a go-ahead for me to find someone else to fix the job. And then no acknowledgement of the invoice to be reimbursed. To finish the job, I bought $200 in polymeric sand to fill spaces between concrete slabs and paid over $450 to fix my gate. For a job that cost $9000 I would have hoped that I would have: good customer service, prompt follow-up for issues, a job completed. Additional irritation is the recorded message when you call this company "are you tired of contractors that don't return calls, don't show up, don't complete the work?" Yes, and I'm tired of this company. Sad, because they are associated with Clarke Basement Systems and we were so happy with that job.
