Lawn Care

Never ever use Dr Green Services, The price they tell you never includes Taxes and they do automatic renewals so if you do sign up it is on you to cancel. there staff are rude and do not do a good job. Your better off calling your local municipality or a University for advice on what to do.

Lawn Care Service

Dr. Green was hired to do my lawn care. My lawn is VERY small, so therefore you would think they would do a great job because they can't really miss anything and it wouldn't take them long to do it, so when I saw them jump over areas and be done with it in 5 seconds, I was not happy with their service whatsoever....and try and get a rebate on the price for a half@@@ job...good luck!

Lawn care

Dr. Green provided poor lawn care service, I hired them in the spring of 2009 before the snow had melted. In April they did their first visit and put fertilizer down on my lawn, by May the lawn was full of weeds where there had been none in previous years, the weed control products that they used were completely ineffective, as they need to be administered directly to each weed, this was impossible in the 5 minute long visits that they made to my home, I spent hours myself pulling weeds by hand. In June Dr. Green put more fertilzer down on my lawn but in doing so they burnt and killed the grass, leaving a trail up and down the lawn where the technician had walked. I called to complain about the burning, and they sent someone out to investigate, he promised that they would put down seeds to repair the damage, in July they still had not come to do this, so I had to call to remind them, they came, but the grass had started to grow back somewhat already. In August the grubs came out and ate much of my lawn, whatever dr green claimed to have put down to prevent that was ineffective. In September I received a solicitation call about another product they wanted to sell me for a different kind of insect infestation, I politely refused. In September I also canceled my service with them, even though they were supposed to come one more time which I had already payed for, but I felt it was not worth it, I did not want them to damage my lawn any further. I hope I can find another company next year that can repair the damage dr. green had done to my lawn. Also the operator on their telephone number was often rude, or indifferent when taking customer complaints. I wish I would have read the dozens of horrible reviews of this company online before signing up with them.

seasonnal maintenance of lawn

Dr Green Lawn very efficient on follow up and recommendations are valuable. I recommend to research different package offers to get the appropriate service for your lawn. Dr green Lawn very professionnel.

LAWN CARE

I contracted Dr. Green in Mississauga for lawn care services including overseeding in 2009 and started out on wrong foot since after contracting the service Manager told me that I am a L iar for her own mistake. Altough charged under the $274 special offer, the service was limited to partial fertilization during the season. All other servces including application of Sorritol were limited to posting a warning sign on the lawn with no chemical application. I have terminated the contract prematurely. My next door neighbours also have similar experience and has previously terminated their services.

LAWN CARE

Dont bother to sign up with a company which states on their invoices,but not on their advertising flyers,

" FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE SERVICE WILL CONTINUE FROM SEASON TO SEASON"

especially if you choose to prepay, and then want to cancel.

not worth the hassle.

its almost as bad as trying to cancel a gym membership, only to find out that they will continue to bill you after you prepaid the whole year.

go with spring masters intead and pay when the service is done.

their after sales service is great when you are a client of theirs, but as soon as you decide to cancel one of their programs and go a la carte they treat you like garbage. I was insulted by Patricia whom acknowledged that we prepaid our yearly fee, and then had the balls to tell me that we did not request to discontinue the service after the term we requested to pay for. And to make it worse, when I asked to speak with the owner, patricia tried to tell me that the owner wouldn't want to discuss the situation with me. I hate it when employees try to give me the opinion of the owners without directly speaking to them first..

i'm going email them this review, and then ask to speak with the owner Lorraine Van Haastrecht and see if this is the way they intend to do business with past and present clients going forward.

And if it is i'm going to blacklist them and ensure my whole neighborhood, and the virtual online community knows, so that hopefully they do not treat potential or existing clients like they treated us.

Dr green.. are you really a Doctor? or is that another joke... just like your claim to excellent customer service..

no convenience at all!

lawn care

We cancelled their service in late 2008 as we were not happy with their quality. Made a point of calling them to tell them we going with someone else.The continue to send demand letters as " they did not realize" we had another company and did 2 more application in the spring of 2009. Pretty obvious.. the other companies spray notices are on my lawn. Neighbour up the street has same issue ie unwanted services and being scammed for a billing... Also if you call in, they never want to allow you to talk to " management " a sure sign of questionable tactics.
If they call from DR GREEN soliciting your business, my advice is to just hang up !!!

Lawn Care

We used this company for two years. In our second year, with treatment, our grass looked awful! It was the worst on the street. I placed a call and told them how dissatisfied I was with their service and that a lawn that is meticulously maintained should not look the way it did. I asked that they come out and fix it. Sure they came out and fixed it right away....an charged me for it. When I got the bill I contacted them and was furious. First they ruin my lawn or don't do any "treatment" to prevent the mess and then they charge for it. Well, I told them not to contact me again because I did not want their services for the following year. They told me that it was noted. Fast forward to March of this year, I was getting ready for work and lo'and behold a Dr. Green truck leaving my house. I went outside and found an invoice. I called the company and spoke to a rep who told me not to worry about it the account should have been closed and no amount would be owing. Wonderful!...or so I thought. This week I see an invoice from Dr. Green in my mailbox. I called them and they told me that the rep should have cleared the amount owing and that because i didn't contact them in the winter to cancel for the spring the contract was continuous. What??? I explained how livid i was in the summer and how I did not want them coming out again. They said the only note they had was that "customer may want to cancel for next spring"...I was so angry last summer, I know and clearly recall saying "please do not call me for next season as I do not want you stepping foot on my property. I do not want your services". Conveniently, they don't have those notes and only have "may want to cancel". On top of that, they offered to split the cost and only have me pay half of the amount. It's not the $25 or $50... now its the principle. They try to suck people into paying for something they didn't ask for. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. I have not paid them and will not pay them. They screwed up and didn't take accurate notes and now they are trying to get paid for it. I am not giving in. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Lawn Care

We only decided to go with their service for one year since nothing they've done on our lawn was working. The second season thinking it was May and they never came and with no indication of coming, we assumed the services were canceled only to find a bill 2 months later with interest.

I'm sure they do great jobs or else their company would not exist, however by sending us a bill with no indication of service is unacceptable! Also, once I received the bill I immediately called them to ask them about it, and all they said was someone came and did the service but no notes were left on what was done. My family are organization freaks when it comes to filing our bills. After looking in our 4 filing cabinets and no trace of the bill, it became frustrating as to where the bill came from let along the interest charges that were indicated on the newly received bill. Now after 5 days of waiting for them to investigate into the issue, it doesn't seem as if it is a priority and apparently no investigation has been conducted.

What could this company do to improve their services?
They should clearly indicate that services are continual until you cancel them. They should also make sure they confirm an appointment before they come out and that the owners of the property wants what they are doing. They should not just leave a bill at the door and actually ring the doorbell and hand you the bill, or better yet, just mail it so that there is clear indication that the person is going to receive the FIRST bill and not a 2nd or 3rd bill indicating interest on the services provided. When the company receives an request of investigation, the call service employee should investigate into the matter then proceed with any additional calls, instead of going about their daily work and leaving the customer waiting for an answer.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Make sure you tell them the service is good for however long you want the service, and make sure when you cancel the service you have canceled it for good. Always write down the conformation of cancellation number! If you firmly believe that no service was provided, don't pay for the service they are billing you for and make sure they investigate the matter thoroughly.
