Lousy Sewer Line Job

Drain Masters DID A LOUSY JOB , REMOVED OUR PROPERTY, AND THEN TOLD US TO BUG OFF.

Gerry the owner, promised trenchless sewer replacement and they did not do so. The job took 3 days longer longer than they said, the clean up team left with our cones and pilons, and the sewer line they put in has now backed up again less than 6 weeks after their work is done.

When I called Gerry the owner he THREATENED ME IN ADDITION TO THE $5000 WE PAID HIM WE HAVE HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $500 TO FIX THEIR WORK AND TO REPLACE WHAT THEY CARRIED AWAY WITH THEM FROM OUR YARD

Company Response

Has it turned out the problem was inside the home & had nothing to do with the work Drain Master performed & the items that were accidentally taken were 4 small orange safety cones, when we attended the property to investigate the problem - we were told to leave the property, so we were not even allowed to investigate as to what the problem was, we were told by the City of Vancouver as to what the problem was, which was a blockage inside of the house, not in the outside sewer line that Drain Master had replaced, which is working just fine.

Emergency Water Main Repair

To whom it may concern,
My husband and I would like to commend the two young men, Jag and Karm, who did the repair for us today.
We were so pleased and impressed with the quality and professionalism from both of them. They were polite, pleasant and certainly knew what they were doing. The efficiency and quality of their work was totally unexpected. It has been a very long time since we have had this high standard of customer service and work done. We were also impressed at how quickly the work could be done considering our situation was a bit of an emergency. The price for the work done was very fair.
We will most certainly recommend this company to any of our friends and aquaintances that need plumbing work done and will most definitely call them again if we ever need this type of work done in the future.
Bravo to a well run company and to all their employees for understanding what real customer service is all about and providing it.
Thank you again for a job well done!
Pat and Charles

Water Line Repairs

I would like to take the time to thank you for the great job your plumbers did in replacing our homes water line. Your lead plumber David was very pleasant to talk to and he made sure the job was being completed to perfection. My wife was very happy that you were able to replace our water line without digging a trench, therefore causing no damage to her prized garden.
The job was completed on time as promised and at the price (which was the best we were quoted) you quoted us. Your plumbers cleaned up the site and when they were finished, you could not
even tell that our our water line had just been replaced.
Thanks Julia

We now have not only a dry basement, but plenty of water pressure for showering, doing the dishes and our laundry. We could not have asked for a better job.
We definitely would recommend your company to any of our friends and business associates.
Thank You once again for a great job.

Yours,

Water main replacement

In one of the coldest day during the winter, we discovered that we had a leak somewhere along the water main line. After getting a plumber to give us a temporarily water solution, we searched out for a permanent solution in replacing the water main. Gerry was one of the few companies that responded to our request as all the plumbers were busy going around fixing frozen pipes, and he was the only one that was willing to come out to give us an actual "free estimate" without charging up to around $200. Gerry came over the very next day after our conversation, and was able to give me a quote and guaranteed that there will be no overrun cost as they had a plan B and plan C in case their trenchless method did not work out. The project did turn out to have a little hiccup and they did have to dug an extra hole in the yard + a hole in the drive way concrete and actually took at least a day longer than they anticipated, but they were thorough with their job and clean up. I would definitely recommend them based on their competitive cost, Gerry's responsiveness, their respectable and professional employees (Alex's team and Jose's team), and their technology/skills (trenchless). The only detractor for the project was their timeliness on the 2nd and 3rd day, and the concrete repair on the driveway was quite uneven. However, given everything else they've done, that was only a small detractor. Realistically, it's a 9.5/10.

Water Line Repair

I had water line repair work done on my home in Burnaby.
The plumbers arrived as planned and were very knowledgeable in where the leak was coming from. They gave me an estimate that we found to be the best one we got.

They repaired out water line with out even digging a trench. There was no damage to our property due to the fact they did not have to dig up our lawn or garden to do the job. We are very pleased with the job Drain Master did and would recommend their company for any one needing water line or other plumbing services.

water main repair

I have 30 ft of water main line between the city shut-off and our house, all running under concrete. Water was running into our crawl space around the main and we had to shut off the city supply valve. I got 4 quotes, 2 trench and 2 trenchless. Drain Master was the best and also lowest price. Drain Master's system avoided any disturbance of the concrete. The system is ingenious and should be successful in every case unless something is encasing the existing line and it can't be expanded. They said they have ways around that but fortunately plan A worked for us. I also like the fact that the existing line is still in the ground and is protecting the new line. Two fellows did the job in 5 hours, including installation of 2 new shut off valves and 2 PRVs in our crawl space. George and Mike were competent and friendly. What a relief to get through an emergency so smoothly!! Gerry, the owner and manager was a pleasure to work with also.

Replace water line from city supply to house

Aug 22, 2016. My mom's house in the Government Road area of Burnaby had a water leak in the supply line. Tree roots from a big tree in front of house the likely cause of a crack in the copper line which was causing a never ending puddle of water on the driveway. The scheduled start time was 8:30 and the crew showed up a bit after 8:00. The technology used by Drain Masters uses a hydraulic jack to remove old copper pipe and jack in a flexible plastic pipe at the same time. This allowed mom to keep the troublesome but beautiful tree and no breaking of the concrete in front of the house was required. Other company had quoted $7000 to do the job using a dig and fill method requiring breaking up of the concrete and removal of the tree. My 96 year old mom is very happy with the final result. Drain Masters crew, Luis and David, did a great job.

trenchless water line replacement

Travis and his team arrived promptly and on very short (~2hrs) notice. It took a bit of time to locate my city water shut off but work got going quickly once Gerry (the owner) came by with his handy metal detector. All in all, the damage to my lawn was minimal.

One complaint I have is that when the new line and regulator was hooked up inside the house, most of the old copper piping was reused - complete with my old joins and patches - making it look like a Frankenstein monster. I think it would have been easier and cleaner to run new pex line all the way to the newly installed regulator. All in all, a satisfactory job.

Thanks to Gerry for giving me quick peace-of-mind by sending his crew very quickly.
