Hickory Dickory Decks

My wife and I wanted to have a big deck built (around 400 sq ft), so we had several companies come in to do a quote for us. Right from the start, we noticed the difference in professionalism with Hickory Dickory Decks. Our contact person was Geoff Aucoin and he was exceptional. Very honest, personable, and customer service oriented. They were a bit more expensive than other companies, but we had a really good feeling about them, and we were right.

We wanted a very low maintenance deck, and originally chose a product that we liked from a new manufacturer. However, due to some issues with the manufacturer (that had nothing to do with Hickory Dickory Decks), we had to find another product. Geoff was very accommodating and quite attentive during the whole process. We ending up choosing another product from one of their long-term suppliers and we could not be happier. Their installers are very professional, and I can honestly say that we always felt that we were valued customers, even after money changed hands. There was not one interaction that left me displeased. I have heard horror stories from friends that had quite the opposite experience that went with the lowest cost builder.

I would recommend Hickory Dickory Decks to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, well-crafted deck!

The deck they built us last year was/is incredible. We thought it was a bit expensive at the time but given all the positive reviews, we decided to go for it! Money well spent. They were fast, clean and the deck is absolutely beautiful. Changes the whole look of our backyard.

Let's start by saying I would recommend Hickory Dickery Decks. From my first meeting with Geoff, to the guys working on the removal of the old deck to the finished product. The entire process was professional from beginning to end. I ended up getting what I wanted, one of the cool decks I saw on their web site. Thanks to all the guys involved.

The deck that Hickory Dickory Decks installed in our backyard several years ago is still in beautiful shape. The TimberTech material is not only exactly what we were looking for as a maintenance-free deck, but it looks fantastic! The deck that I had built 20 years ago was showing serious signs of old age. We started a design process in 2012 to change the look and feel of the space. We finalized the plan in the spring from an independent designer and started to call contractors. A couple of things stand out when working with Hickory Dickory Deck team, firstly the options presented were transparent, the cost and options of products, design and lighting, etc., were all laid out, there was no guessing. Geoff Aucin worked with Cathy and I to finalize design and build in a most professional manner. A large deck was removed and then we met Fred Jackson. Fred is a A1 carpenter with a great crew of guys. We discussed the design. Often I would meet Fred in the morning to discuss progress and he listened to my suggestions and added his own in order improve the end product. Despite the weather they produced a spectacular deck that looks like it was built by a master.

Would I recommend Fred, Goeff and the team, absolutely!

Three years ago, Geoff Aucoin professionally and patiently worked with us to design a deck that fit our goals and budget. He was able to provide suitable suggestions, and express and conceptualize solutions that we understood -- that remained true to the completed project. We continue to thoroughly appreciate the deck, and its suitable living space for our family and friends.

Super deck construction. Fred Jackson, the carpenter, is a very precise & meticulous worker. The deck & the gazebo are awesome. It is maintenance free. Everything has been constructed according to building code. So safe, good for decades !!! The salesperson, Geoff Aucoin, asked the right questions from the very beginning, so to provide us with different product recommandations & configurations. We've got no bad surprise with the end product. We are very happy and highly recommend Hickory Dickory Decks !
