Ikea - North York

I needed to replace a 30+ year old desk lamp. I checked Living Lighting and Royal Lighting before going to Ikea.

Ikea had a nice-looking, simple, effective lamp, more to my taste than at the other stores. The specialist stores were helpful and knowledgeable but the lamps were more ornate and quite a bit more expensive.

Ikea does cost more time. The you are forced to go follow too much of the predetermined meandering path through the store. There are short-cuts, but not enough.

IKEA has great affordable kitchens. There are a multitude of combinations you can choose. Great price and easy to install (we did it ourselves). I would recommend their kitchens to anyone.

I was surprised to find a great variety of picture frames and paintings at Ikea. The selection was great and very diverse in sizes and themes. The candles selection were great as well, lots of different colors and sizes.

Purchased a Kitchen from Ikea. The products arrived with no damage. We installed them ourselves, with using their track on the wall the cabinets were mounted quickly and with no real problems. Great product, very durable and they look great. The Ikea kitchen system is extremely flexible and results were amazing. I would recommend them to anyone.

Recently I purchased a Poang leather armchair from IKEA in North York, Ontario. Its not easy to find an affordable and comfortable arm chair. My wife and I looked around so many furniture stores trying to find a good arm chair without much success. Recently IKEA had a sale where they take care of the PST (Provincial sales tax). We went to the store not really looking for anything specific....however we saw a dark brown leather Poang in the distance. We immediately sat down and it was the most comfortable chair any of us had ever sat on. The dark brown of the leather looked nice, felt soft but durable as well. The chair also has a "springy" quality to it which adds to the comfort. I would recommend this chair to anyone who is looking for extreme comfort at an affordable price. The wood frame of the chair comes in about 4 colours (beech, birch, a dark oak colour and black)the leather is available in dark brown black and a lighter colour. We love this chair.

IKEA is a store that offers modern styles that are affordable. It is better to check your items after you purchased them to make sure there's no defects. The coffee table we bought had a crack in one of the legs and was able to switch it for a new one. Be prepared for longer line-ups on the weekends.

I go to ikea because it is cheap and modern. Although I find the products hard to assemble, I would preferre if they came ready to use. The quailty is not very good, but it is inexpensive.

Its easy to shop at Ikea, the only problem seems to be finding an attendant to help you when you need it. Once we had that then it was smooth saling to the stock area and then to cash out.

The sales staff did not help me in my desicion, but the products were easy to find. The price seemed fair, I will always go back to ikea!
