Lawn Buster

I have used Lawn Buster since 1995 for snow removal and lawn care. The service has been deteriorating especially the last few years. I believe this is due to the people they hire and the volume of clients they now have. For lawn care, the last few years the spring cleanup was not started until late May or early June. Three years in a row the fall cleanup was MISSED because they were so late starting that it started to snow. They promised weekly lawn mowing but I have noticed, by the height of the grass in the backyard, they did not perform this weekly. Last year, for the 2008 season, we requested no PESTICIDE spraying on the lawn, paying an extra $25.00 for this service. They took the money but the service was ignored and the lawn was sprayed with pesticide. I left a message in the answering machine (nobody answers the phone there) after the first spraying and requested a call back and an explanation. This was ignored since nobody every called back and they sprayed the lawn with pesticide again later in the season even after the complaint!

Snow removal is not much better. Even though I requested the personal touch service, paying an extra $100.00 above the regular rate for this service. This service is to put you at the front of the line for snow removal and they supposedly only sign up at most 50 customers for this personal service. I required this because I leave home for work early and worry I won't be able to drive the car out of the garage. Prior to getting this service, I'd be lucky to get my driveway cleaned by the next day after the snow fall! Even with the personal service, they did not come until after the snow stops falling because they only want to come once. I have had situations this year where I have had to shovel the driveway myself in order to get the the car into and out of the garage because of the height of the snow and the tardiness of the snow removal service.

I am definitely not recommending this company due to the extremely poor service. I have used this company for many years and even though I was not happy about it in the past, the last year has been intolerable so it's finally caused me to look for another service for the 2009 season.
