Toronto Community Housing provides this company for bed bug pest control, sadly. Two months in and 4 exterminations done, our bed bug situation is still at square 1. The first time they came, they didn't even give us any information on how to prepare our apartment. Nonetheless, I did my own research on how to prepare and did as such. I found live bed bugs walking around the same day they 'exterminated'. I figured this just meant we needed a few more treatments, but 3 exterminations later and it's been the same thing. Absolutely no communication between the client (me) and workers. I have no clue whether or not they're even doing a thorough job considering they tell us we have to leave once they arrive. If possible, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!! They do NOT care about making your home pest-free.

Am at the mercy of Toronto Community Housing, don't have the funds to hire a REAL company, so gotta take what you get. It is now July and I have had SIX treatments for bedbugs since FEBRUARY, 2 of them under the supervision of a Housing Supervisor (so it took 40 minutes rather than 5). He's a good guy who really cares, but what can he do when he's working with watered-down pesticide? I've concluded this must be the reason the bugs are still around. Like a bartender watering down drinks to stretch that dollar. Do not use this company. It's the 3rd time I've had to put up with this in 2 years and is only a mild infestation, so you'd think MAYBE they just might get it right. I've followed all their directions religiously.

I have ailing parents I want to visit but don't dare take the (slim) chance I might bring a pregnant female BB to their home. That would be too much for them right now, if they got infested. Haven't seen my folks since October.

And I notice that they have made it so their web page is "unavailable." To keep people from leaving the reviews these wonderful folks deserve, I have no doubt. Last time I checked the Google reviews for Magical, there were about 50 of them, and 48 were one-star, with many saying, "I'd give zero stars if I could."

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. "Magical" is so ironic, it kills me. It's like they use voodoo or a prayer to get rid of your pests. They should call themselves Take A Chance Pest Control.

Someone from “Magic Pestcontrol” the “ residential service” division of Terminix knocked my door just a few days after moving to my new house. They told me the area had quite a lot pests and need to have control otherwise my house would be “bothered”. I trusted them and signed the “contract”. It was a short talk and I couldn’t read carefully all the Ts & Cs. After the first service, I found the effect was very limited and actually I learned from neighbors that we don’t have much pests issues. I didn’t allow them to come anymore, however they kept withdrawing “payment” from my account without my authorization and didn’t notify me until I received the bank statement. I contacted them and was shown that so called “Contract” that I have to pay one more time service even if I cancel the contract. This kind of terms are not legal.
Stay away from this company and never ever give them your bank information.

As with other reviewers, I would give 0 stars if possible. I should know better - "Terminix Canada" (which actually seems to be a net work of smaller companies) came by door to door... First treatment was fine - though what I actually received for the payment was underwhelming.

Then - I received an e-mail on August 24th saying they would be here on September 19th. Nobody came, nobody phoned to say hey, we need to reschedule (though they keep telling me they're a HUGE Billion $$ Company!!) Like the others, I took the day off to be here.

I then received an e-mail on September 30th at 12:41 p.m. (a Saturday) stating they would be at my place on October 2 (MONDAY MORNING) from 9 am - 1 pm. I immediately phoned them to ask them not to come as I had to work. That call went to voice mail

They came anyway. As I wasn't at the house, they couldn't do any interior work but did do some exterior work. I again phoned them and got somebody for a change and said it was completely unacceptable that a) they didn't show up when they were supposed to in September b) I had taken the day off to be there on September 19th c) they gave me no notice (I consider Saturday at 12:41 pm for a Monday morning appointment as NO notice) that they were coming Monday morning allowing me no time to reschedule my calendar d) e-mailed me on October 4th to say that the Manager was away and would contact me on October 10th; e) never contacted me and e) billed me the full amount on November 3rd.

Were they hoping if they waited long enough to bill me I might not notice?

I immediately called MAGICAL PEST CONTROL of Concord - who does the actual billing - re-iterating all of the above. Again. The woman in accounts receivable said she would have somebody contact me.

I'm still waiting. And Imagine I will be.

DO NOT USE TERMINIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a carpenter bee problem. Two technicians came out and completed part of the job and said they would come back with a ladder for a hard to reach area. They did not come back. I left three messages for service and sent one email and no one responded for two weeks and they already charged my credit card for $530.00 to treat 9 bee holes! Finally I got someone live and rebooked a technician. One showed up without a ladder. After rebooking the second one did not show up. After calling service again I finally talked to someone who found out they could not access that area of my house and they credited me $100. Worst service ever.

3 Strikes and the bed bugs still exist! After 3 treatments they still weren't gone! The worst part was the way customer service talked to me. All I wanted was some suggestions and understand the root of the problem but I was made to feel I was a nuisance and not valued.

I called Magical Pest Control to get rid of wasps which were in my house.

They agreed to come over and fog the walls, to flush out the insects. Instead of a fogging machine, which would produce a large volume of fog and get rid of everything, they used a straw and a small spray can.

The wasps got worse and angrier than ever.

Instead of just a few wasps in the basement, we now have wasps everywhere in the house.

When I talked to a woman at Magical Pest Control, in the customer service department, instead of explaining how she could help, she just yelled at me.

I would avoid this company.

They would not show up when appointed, spent 2 minutes in inspection and got RunAround until. Job. Finally done. I was told the sofa needed tossing but had no recommendations as to whom to go to. Very unhelpful at a very stressful time.

I use Magical for my office. They are prompt and attentive. I used them the first time, about 2 years ago after a particularly bad mouse problem. Would definitely recommend them.

I run a commercial/ residential janitorial company and we have had occasions in which we needed pest control expertise. Among many things, we do post construction residential cleaning and there was an instance when a dead animal was found in a wall. The Odor was terrible. I called Magical Pest Control and they removed the stench of the rotting corpse from the house. The homebuilder was quite impressed with the results but also how fast they showed up. I fully recommend Magical Pest Control for commercial or residential needs.
