Peel Heating & Air Conditioning

We have used Peel Heating & Air Conditioning for maintenance on our furnace for several years now. They have always offered honest advice and have never tried to upsell us on un-needed services. As an example, a couple of years ago they mentioned that our furnace would likely need a $400 part...but told us not to fix it until it breaks because it may last for another 2 years. I like a company that is interested in developing an honest long-term relationship with its customers rather than trying to bilk them on each and every visit. Highly recommended.

Service Experts provided me with a detailed home inspection and designed a quote to suit my families needs and my budget. Multiple scenarios were presented and I was encouraged to ask questions to ensure I made the right decision. The furnace and humidifier was installed, on time, by reliable, professional installers that cared about my home. I would recommend Service Experts for quality, professionalism and price any time!

My air conditioning stopped working on a Sunday, and I chose to call them, as the previous home owner had their sticker in the A/C unit. I asked them to send someone over on a weekday (to avoid the high cost of overtime on the weekend).
They showed up on time on Monday, and all that was done was unscrewing and screwing back the power fuse for the A/C unit.
As I was not home when that happened, and my wife paid for the job on the credit card, I decided to call them and inquire why the job was so expensive, and if that is their common charges for such simple and quick job.
I received a call back from this lady, who basically told me that the charges were it. After I told her that I found the charges a bit too high ($99 for the service call and $102 just to unscrew and screw back the fuse), she still just repeated herself to say that these are the charges, period.
I still told her that I paid for the bill regardless, but their pricing structure would be a determining factor for me to decide whether or not I would use them again in the future, and she still did not have any intelligent explanation as to why this little job should cost so much.
It is my right as a consumer to decide whether a job is too expensive, and I find that this was an absurdly high price for a very simple job. It is also my right to share my experience with others, if I am not happy with a vendor, so that is why I am writing here.
If you are happy with their service and their costs, go ahead and use them, but I was surely not impressed and I would not recommend them.

Tech diagnosed my issue as a faulty blower motor. Quote was $432+tax+ $99 for the service call. In 2009, 25 months ago the same company, same technician replaced the same blower motor. I suggested 2 motors in 2 years at full replacement cost was unreasonable. Tech suggested I phone his manager to negotiate (I wasn't expecting a free motor, just a reduction in labour cost). I phoned the office and was told the manager was "traveling" but they thought he was picking up messages so I left one. Never heard back from him. Called the Lennox Head Office in US and explained my situation re the motor & Manager. Never heard back from them.
Would not recommend Service Experts (apparently owned by Lennox) nor Lennox products. Am now quoting a motor replacement among the top rated Homestars contractors & grant them my future business.

I decided to put a humidifier, media filter and digital thermostat in home this winter. I can’t say enough about the service that was provided. They accommodated my schedule and did a really nice job on the installation. You can certainly tell the installation was done by a true professional and someone who cares. They cleaned up after themselves and took the time needed to make sure I understood how everything works. Great service.

During a heat wave my a/c gave out. Called Peel there were there to assess and then back same day to repair. It was virtually painless. He was also able to provide coaching as to what potentially caused the air conditioning to malfunction and how I can avoid and ward off repairs in the future

Gave good advice on companies such as Direct Energy and the faults with the installation. Gave further advice on how to fix the problem. They showed up on time and were very prompt in cleaning our furnace and air conditioning systems. The were very professional in finishing the job and I would recommend them to anyone seeking good, honest, jobs well done/

Technician was friendly and explained the work he was doing. He went beyond the regular expectation and cleaned more then he had too after I explained that I was going to sell my house in a couple of months. He left the area spotless and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. This company has been doing the maintenance on the furnace for the past 7 years.

They were very professional, came in...did what they had to do...and left everything clean and tidy. Recommend this to everyone who hasn't had there ducts done in a long time. It was amazing how much stuff came out.

Having furnace issues is not fun when it get cold. We called Peel Heating and they reacted quickly, found the problem, and fixed it at a reasonable cost. They recommended a service contract which we took and now come and do semi annual inspection and cleaning to make sure the unit runs the way it supposed to.
