We were having an issue with our gas fire place not lighting u. The pilot light was working however the fireplace would not always light up or it would take several attempts before igniting. Shiptons took a approximately two weeks before I could get an appointment and when the technician came he said all that was needed was a cleaning. He asked if we had some old newspaper he could use to spread out on the floor so he could put the pieces out and he would vacuum out the fireplace. He did not test any circuits or check any wiring. All he did was vacuum and put the pieces back and cleaned the glass!! The fireplace lit up on the second attempt and he never checked again said its good now. Of course the next time we tried to start it up it would work and I called shiptons and they wanted to charge me again!
