Appliances

We chose Tasco Appliances to purchase all our new appliances(all 5 of them)when we renovated our kitchen. Tasco provided us with the best price on the bulk purchase and the salesman was well-informed, reliable and punctual in faxing the exact appliance specification to our kitchen designer. There was no problem for Tasco to store our appliances in their warehouse until we were ready for delivery which was a seamless experience.

new oven repairs

A kitchen accident resulted in a smashed glass oven panel. I was very disappointed by the lack of service we received at Tasco. We were told since it was not covered under our warranty, that they couldn't help us. I realized that we'd be on the hook for the cost but was surprised that they would not facilitate the repair for us. After repeated attempts to speak with a manager I finally gave up, and guess what, called Sears. The matter was dealt with immediately. Sorry but Tasco will not get any future business from us.

Thnak you for your comments. At the very least we as a company should have at least recommended an authorized technician or service center as we (unlike Sears) have technicians. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Cooktop, hood and microwave

It took us a while to figure out with which product we were going to replace our old over-sized built in cook-top. Greg was very helpful and patient with during our discussions, order changes and delays caused by an eventual minor renovation of our kitchen. We're still adjusting to the spontaneity of the heat produced by the new Electrolux induction cook-top but so far so good!

kitchen apliance set

Bought Dacor stove, dishwasher and Fridge brand new. Too many problems with dishwasher and Fridge encountered after delivery. Dishwasher was inoperable and the technician came to fix problems with it 3 times in the span of 4 months. Until now I continue to experience problems with the unit but chose not to deal with them anymore. Tasco refused to replace the unit even though it is obvious that it was defective. I came to the store so many times but i was always given the run around. My experience with the store and management after the purchase was terrible. Don't be fooled how nice they are when they try to sell you their product.

Company Response

Our sales staff has no prior knowledge or statistics that an appliance is going to fail within a certain amount of time. To replace a defective appliance under manufacturer's warranty( which Tasco does not hold) a serice report must indicate that the appliance is not repairable to apply for a return authorization.

Kitchen Appliances

Ok price but very poor customer service afterward. We needed parts on our new fridge. It took 3 months to arrange them to supply the parts. I had to go talk to the GM to get my parts delivered.

Tasco is sorry that you went through that long wait. Sometimes if the parts are cosemtic it can take sometime, most parts distributors and manufacturer's don't stock cosmetic parts. We hope that you do come back and purchase again.

Hi Tracey,
Depending on the repair and if its cosmetic (not certain your circumstance, its not clear from the description above) manufacturer's do have cosmetic reporting guidelines, functionally speaking is a different matter. We are sorry and hope you visit Tasco again for your future appliance needs.

FULL Appliance purschase for new home

We have used Tasco 2 times in the past and there were issues, we tried to give them one last try for our large order for a new home.
We spent 40K on new appliances for every thing and went with high end such Wolf, Subzero, Miele, etc.
Every thing possible thing that could be screwed up, they managed to get 10 out of 10 in that department. Their sales people have no clue about any thing outside of the marketing BS which is not cookie cut for every single home. But the cherry on the cake came when we addressed these issues to them, no one wants to take ownership and its been now over 7+ weeks that we are waiting for a response. hehe yep you guessed it, no one is getting back to us.
Stay away from them. I am building a website for all complaints, www.tascosucks.com

good luck

New kitchen appliances

We placed our order for $15,000 worth of KitchenAid appliances with Tasco Appliances in May 2008 with a significant deposit and identified our delivery date for mid August. In June we firmed our delivery date. We purchased this far in advance to ensure we had no problems with delivery. How wrong we were.

Less than 1 week from delivery we are told for the first time we were back-ordered on the built-in Microwave. This was the first mention that there would be problem with delivery. The girl on the phone actually told us that the product had been back-ordered for months.

This means we will have a brand new kitchen partially complete until the back-ordered microwave arrives, because all the appliances are built-ins. Plus we need to pay people to come back and complete the installation.

It would seem that when a customer places a confirmed order tied to a specific delivery date, Tasco should plan to have product available for that order. If the product is back-ordered at the time of purchase the customer would have the option to make a new decision about their product selection.

However, if the product is available at the time of the order, why does the supplier not ensure it has stock on hand to honour all committed orders before selling additional units?

The salesperson was very knowledgable and helpful at the time of the order but he was totally let down by warehouse and shipping.

Plus, when I asked to speak to sopmeone who I could express my concerns to at the head office, my calls were never returned.

So buyer beware when dealing with Tasco. Sales staff is great -- but follow through is very unprofessional.

Tasco apologizes for this inconvenience. It should have not happened. We are sometimes at the mercy of the manufacturer and cannot control this. Also if its a special order this can take some time too.

Kitchen appliances

I purchased over $12,000 of kitchen appliances (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and stovetop)from Tasco. The products were fine although I did not feel I got a "deal" by any means. The problem I found was with their preferred installer. This man came out 2 days late (excuses, excuses) and took a look around and spent all of 30 minutes measuring and said I needed a granite worker to hone out the cooktop by a couple of centimeters, a cabinet guy to remove a cabinet, because the fridge was not clearing the cabinet (although it was supposed to), and he said I needed a plumber to reroute pipes behind the dishwasher... he charged me $100 and left me in the chaos of no appliances (they had already all been removed) He did not provide me with any referrals or remedies to help me out.. He was rude and said he didn't normally install these types of cheap appliances! (they were Kitchenaid, and Miele) He said he was an expert Wolff appliance installer... So why the heck did Tasco refer me to him and let him take my money and run... Just poor service all along the way. Tasco staff also have attitude, I went a couple of weeks ago to pick up a new water filter for fridge and they made me wait and then seemed bothered by the fact all i was purchasing was a $50 filter! Don't bother with Tasco, there are other appliance sellers who actually understand what customer service means.

Hi Elaine,
We are sorry that the installation part of your experience did not go well and that installer was too matter of fact, and forthcoming with his opinion.
