Taunton Pools

We had Taunton pools install a 12x24 inground in Aug. The entire process, from quotation to build was amazing. Andrew and the whole team did an amazing job...on time and on budget! I can't believe how fast the crew was able to dig, install and finish off the pool. Andrew assisted by linking us up with 3 landscapers to quote on the landscaping work as we redid the entire yard. The two teams worked seamlessly and we are extremely happy with the results. Thanks again to Andrew, the two Murrays and the rest of the crew for the fantastic job they did!

HORRIBLE customer service. I paid to have my pool filter cartridges cleaned. The technician broke the valve and then I had to argue to have everything replaced and fixed.
After all of this, they charged me for the service because they had stored my credit card information without my knowledge or consent. The General Manger, Ryan and Manager, Tracy are difficult to deal with and do not provide customer service.

Read my google review and then read the companys response. Its very evident this company is not run properly and doesnt take ownership or responsibility where due.

Thought I would try Taunton Pools this year to open my pool. They came, removed the safety cover, added chemicals and left. They did not vacuum the pool or wash down the pool deck, all services that have been proved by other pool companies I have used. Their excuse was that they don't have the time. Too many pool to open. However, they charge more than other pool companies but only do half the job.
Expected better based on their cost. I was going to buy my heat pump from Taunton Pools but am concerned they will once again only do half the job. Will look elsewhere for equipment and services in the future.

First off this is a new pool built by another company and I'm new to all the maintenance. My pool builder doesn't perform this service due to the amount of pool builds they have and don't have the workers to accommodate. I called around and Taunton Pools was the best priced but you get what you pay for apparently. For the $370 they clean your pool cover ($50 discount for safety covers but they make it back with a fuel charge that I didn't know about going in). They use your hose and water to clean your deck/patio, turn on the equipment and add chlorine. Seems expensive for what was performed in my opinion. They don't clean your pool at all just add chemicals turn on the system and off they go. I've since figured out how to get my equipment running on my own as I've had to shut it down for some mechanical work under warranty and it's so simple that I'll be doing it on my own now.

I will add that they are very helpful when it comes to testing your water and providing advice on what you need to add to your pool to keep it safe and clean.

Booked an appointment for service on my pool equipment for 10am, by noon they were a no show, called and they said we will get back to you, no call again. Called again at the end of the day and they said they were reviewing my photos to change my pool piping and now they state they will need more time to figure this out. I took the day off work and waited all day and never once did they call me. Absolutely, horrendous customer service, they are only interested in doing big jobs and will not meet all your pool needs. Strongly recommend selecting another pool company that cares about long term customers.

Highly recommend Taunton pools! Excellent service, very knowledgeable staff. We put a pool in and used their referrals for landscapers. Couldn’t be more happy!!

We had Taunton Pools install our inground pool just under 4 years ago. We were reasonably happy with that process but since the installation the pump always seemed loud. From the beginning. To be fair, we never raised the issue with Taunton Pools because it seemed to work and we didn't know any better, this being our first pool.

An inspector recently came through our house since we are selling and noted the "noisy pool pump". To make sure we weren't leaving the buyers with a problem I took the pump in to Bill's Pumps in Oshawa (who was excellent). The problem: Defective bearings - replaced for $190.

I just called Taunton Pools to inform them of the situation, requesting some sort of compensation. The pump was noisy from the beginning, so the installers should have identified a problem and dealt with it. Instead, we are stuck with this expense.

I am disappointed that the problem was not acknowledged during installation or any subsequent visit. But I am equally disappointed that Taunton Pools is unwilling to do anything to make this right now. The man I spoke to on the phone was argumentative rather than apologetic.

Unfortunately, I can not recommend Taunton Pools.

Taunton Pools has been my pool service provider for the last 9 years and the service was great. I spent thousands of dollars with them. Lately the company has been lacking the level of service and professional that I became accustomed to over the last number of years. They have overcharged me on pool cover and on their quote for the pool liner. Their new approach is all about getting you to purchase more chemicals despite the fact that your pool is crystal clear. and they are rude and unprofessional when you question their perceived need for more chemicals. I will never do business with Taunton Pools again because of the lack of professionalism on the part of their sales manager and unethical practices of the water testing team. Never again

Deplorable. Almost 2 weeks of chasing for a safety cover and a closing. No truth told about calling me. No through about trying to come out. After putting a slide installation off for 1 month and being told as much they still blow me off and when I call in I’m still given the run around. If I could rip this pool out and give my business elsewhere I would. I will not go back.

I recently switched pools stores due to a significant lack of customer service and high pressure sales tactics at my old pool store in Oshawa.

My experience with Taunton Pools has been positive. The staff have been great and taken time to answer all of my questions. The store sells a variety of high quality pool supplies, and there is never any pressure for me to purchase any unnecessary chemicals or supplies from the staff and/or owner.

I would recommend Taunton Pools to anyone looking for an honest pool store that will take the necessary time to answer your questions and explain everything from start to finish.
