Kitchen Renovation, Dining Room and Covered Veranda

Hi Paul,
We want you to know how happy we are with our renovation and addition. The best part of the process was the work ethic and friendliness of your staff.
Our Project Manager Aric Bagshaw played a very important role in the success. Aric was the consummate professional. He was always available and on top of what was going on. We appreciated his recommendations regarding vendors and materials and his attention to details. He is a big asset to Royal Home Improvements.
Paul Moody and Tony turned our old kitchen into my dream kitchen. The first thing I noticed when they started was the way that they swept up and kept the work area clean. They also did a great job laying our tiles and hardwood.
Mike Facchini and Adam Wallace worked together as a team and the result is an addition that is way beyond our expectations.
Clayton spent many hours in the cold putting up the siding.
We have had nothing but compliments for the kitchen and the addition.
Tony and I were impressed when you arrived personally to discuss our contract.
We cannot speak highly enough about Royal Home Improvements. Our neighbours noticed how your staff were always here until completion. Passersby stopped and asked questions about the stonework.
We have recommended Royal Home Improvements to friends and neighbours.
Thank you,
Mary Catherine & Tony Macaluso

Basement Renovation

We apologies for the delay to write this review.
The work was done in February and March of 2011.
We did have a great experience with Royal Home Improvement on our project.
The quote was done by Paul Napolitano president, it was completed on his visit, he understood our needs and provided as requested 2 quotes, 1 for priority work to be done and a second for the complete basement. We were impressed with the complete information given that day on the quotes, it respected our budget and was competitive with other quotes received and appealed to us.

The work was done on time and on budget, which is important when you decide to do renos.
We had great service, communication with the project manager Aric was good, he got back to us promptly, whenever we had questions or clarifications on the work being performed vs the contract. The quality of the work done under the supervision of their main guy (Dusan) was also very good.

We have already recommended RHI and based on this experience we will surely ask them to bid on future work we may decide to do.
Thank you, job well done.

Kitchen Renovation

Royal Home did a total renovation of our kitchen in 2010. They did a wonderful job and came in on budget. The professionalism of the sub contrators was second to none. Royal Home's designer Doug Young and the owner Paul gave us amazing ideas that helped shape the renovation of our dream kitchen.

Royal Home also finished our basement in 2006 with similar results. This included the complete rewiring of our home to replace knob and tube wiring.

Thanks, Paul, you do great work.

Kitchen/Famil Room design and reconstrction

We undertook a major Kitchen/family Room renovation that required the rmoval of walls, replacement of doorways, new flooring throughout, including the hallway, and complete kitchen design. From the beginning, Paul Napolitano was available to answer all our questions as we took our time choosing RHI as our contractors. Once the work was underway, Aric Bradshaw, our project manager was always available to address any concerns we had. We had excellent assistance from the interior designer, Douglas Young in chooisng cupboards, flooring, countertop and backsplash. The construcstion sub-contractor, Paul Moody and his team did a fabulous job of reconstructing our space, going the extra mile to make it right whenever we asked. Whenever there was a concern, which there is bound to be with a job this large, Aric's mantra was "If you're not happy, I'm not happy, and RHI will work to make it right." This was always the case. We ran into a serious health issue just as the project was coming to completion. There was no pressure on us to "finish up and pay up" - everything was done to make sure we were completely satisfied according to the schedule we could set even though it delayed the final payment by two months We would certainly use Royal Home Improvements again for any renovation - and we would clearly recommend them as a contractor.

COMPLETE BATHROOM RENO

I would like to thank Jason (project manager RHI on Dundas St.) for his patience and determination in fulfilling all my requests with respect to my bathroom reno. I am super pleased with the finished bath and for dealing with all the "hiccups" along the way. Aldo and his crew were very knowledgable and hardworking and it was a pleasure doing business with them. The project took almost three months to complete, but that was due to my ongoing requests for major add ons. (ie, custom vanity, electrical, exhaust fans, timers, etc.) I would reccommend RHI to anyone who is willing to allow the crew ample "time" to perform their magic and not just "reno and run". Thanks guys for a job well done.

Kitchen and Master Bathroom Renovation

Our Renovations started in July of 2011 and ended in Sept. 2011.

We are extremely please with the work that was done. Everyone involved handled everything on a very professional level. We were on holidays for three weeks st this time and work went ahead even though we weren't home. We were in a mess for longer then I had anticipated, but in the end it was well worth the dust and disorganiztion. Alban , the Project Manager and Mark the Foreman of the Project were open to suggestions and always were available when I had questions and returned my e-mails or calls quickly.

I would recommend Royal Home Improvements to Family and Friends with no hestation

Thank you for a job well done

Renovation drawings insufficient

The March 11, 2010 review of RHI entitled 'Engineering work', written by Douglas in Toronto rings true. I chose Royal Home Improvements as the general contractor for my renovation based on their Renomark and NKBA certifications. As a starting point, I agreed to pay for a set of permit ready drawings and an engineer's specification for a beam to
replace a load bearing wall. I'm ashamed to admit what I paid, especially considering that the drawings I was subsequently given weren't permit ready (as per the Etobicoke permit office). When asked for a quote on the entire renovation Paul N. named a (in my opinion) staggering sum without providing any details as to how the number was arrived at. Overall, I was left with the impression that his primary interest was making money rather than ensuring his client was satisfied. In hindsightI wish I had read RHI's HomeStars reviews before doing business with them. Their track record seems hit and miss.
Avoid RHI!

We maintain a full and complete record of all our clients (as any reputable business does), and review of that list from the last 3 years shows no matches for anyone named Frank, living in Etobicoke who purchased permit ready drawings and engineering services from us. Given this, we can't respond and question the authenticity of the post. Any time we sell "permit ready" drawings, we guarantee they will be sufficient to get a permit, and the accompanying engineer's stamp is ordinarily more than enough. Particularly amazed at the advice the poster offers to others as he/she (purportedly) never used us as their General Contractor either. Suspiciuous post from the cheap seats.

Bathroom Renovation

I signed up with Royal Home Improvements thinking that they would complete the job quickly and satisfactorily. The project started in mid-November aend was not completed until almost the end of January. The original subcontractor was completely unreliable and when he did show up worked less than 1/2 days, most days. Eventually, another contractor was put on the job and he completed the job quickly and effeciently. He had some excellent ideas. The only problem I have with the work is that the shower floor was not sloped properly and as a result water does not drain completely from two areas of the shower. This will be a constant reminder of poor workmanship. Consequently, I would not recommend Royal Home Improvements

Robert

The original contractor was taken off the job because his mother was critically ill. We replaced him immediately and the renovation was completed quickly with no issues. We strive to maintain the highest quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. That is why we encourage an open dialogue with all of our clients. At the end of every job a project manager inspects all work completed by Royal Home Improvements contractors. However, if issues arise after a product has been used for some time, we encourage our customers to contact us directly. To date we have not heard from you and therefore cannot assist in finding an appropriate solution. Please contact us so we can help.

Sincerely,

The Royal Home Improvements Team

The project consisted of repairing water damage to my kitchen ceiling, painting the ceiling and caulking my upstairs bathroom.

Although the ceiling repair was more difficult than anticipated, the contractor returned several times to ensure that his work was completed to everyone's satisfaction. During this time, there was never an issue with the contractor returning to touch-up his work.

Royal Home Improvements took a genuine interest throughout the project in seeing that the work was completed to my satisfaction.

I was impressed with the professionalism of Royal Home Improvements and their contractor. I have hired and recommended Royal Home Improvements in the past and will continue to do so.
