This was my second time using this company. The first time was great. This time was terrible. Lloyd and Mike tried to take advantage of me. I was only moving a bedroom, entertainment unit and some boxes and it took them seven and a half hours when my last move was a fully packed three bedroom apartment including a bowflex and it only took seven hours. How did this happen? Well they started charging me when they arrived at the warehouse in the morning to pack the truck even though I was only supposed to pay for travel time and Mike took some time out of moving to watch ants eat a piece of chicken that fell from his sandwich in my driveway and he had the nerve to tell me this when I caught him. I had to ask them to hurry up as I had an elevator booked at the new location and they were taking so long. To top it off they damaged my pottery barn dresser. It is now almost the end of business the next day and Ivan the manager has yet to return my call to discuss my situation.

We used Rawlinson when we sold our house in Bolton and moved to Haliburton area. Duanne was our main contact. We have absolutely no regrets in choosing this company. The contract was clear and easy to understand so there were no surprises. Their price was competitive, we never go with lowest price because you get what you pay for. We have no hesitation in recommending this company. There team was professional and courteous. When they finished, both places were spotless. If we need to move again, these are our go-to guys.

Tom from Rawlinson came out and gave a quote. He was really friendly and showed me all sorts of great reviews for his service so I booked. The day of the move, three movers came, which is what I requested as I had the elevator booked and needed to be done the move in a 2 hour window. The problem was that only two of the 3 guys worked - the third stood around. Because of this, we were late with the elevator and had to work a deal with the people who booked it in the time slot after ours. Then, in Milton, the same two people were working and the third one stood around. Because of the fact that only two people worked, the number of hours for the move went from 6 hours quoted to 10.75 hours billed. I have been trying to get a hold of Tom but he is no where to be found. We had a number of people in my office moving over the past month and I told them to steer clear of Rawlilnson.

I would caution anyone using Rawlinson Moving & Storage to examine and question the initial quote for moving very carefully. I recently moved from Toronto to Port Hope, into a house I had been renovating over the course of several months. As a result, I was able to move all of my art, clothes, and anything that would go into a box into the house ahead of the scheduled moving date.

The quote was based on moving furniture only, from a two-bedroom apartment. I counted, and there were 48 discrete items to be moved. The quote was $1,187.58 which I accepted.

On moving day the experience was in general very good - the crew was polite and careful with my belongings. However, when I was presented with the actual bill at the end of a tiring day, it was for $1,699.81 - $612.23 or 51.5% over the estimate.

While I paid the bill, I did email the sales rep asking him if he could address what I thought was a significant overage - after all, this was just 48 pieces of furniture from a two-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, he did not see fit to respond to my inquiry.

I'm left with the feeling that the quote was low-balled to get my business and I'd like future potential customers of Rawlinson Moving & Storage to be forewarned so that they can minimize their chances of having a similar experience.

The team was excellent: easy-going, facilitating ease and stress reduction, supportive, positive and upbeat! Made the move much easier and they worked hard. Were a joy to be with x 2 days! Came on time and made good progress with time planned. No issues. Would highly recommend them! And, will use them again

From the moment the consultant came to quote to the moment the truck left my new property I had amazing service. Rawlinson went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone. The consultant spent time answering all of my questions and even called on the day of the move to make sure everything was going smoothly. My move consisted of 2 days. The first day a group of packers came to pack up all of my fine china and crystal. They were very friendly and extremely efficient. They took less time than anticipated and even moved the packed boxes to the garage for me so that my son would have room to play without being overrun with boxes. I was very impressed at their thoughtfullness. Then the day of the big move came. They arrived on time and efficiently and carefully loaded the trucks. They took the time to reasure me and when I became nostalgic about leaving, the guys each had a kind word for me. They were very carefull with my stuff and wrapped all of the furniture so nothing would get damaged. As I said, I would recommend Rawlinson to anyone.

This was our third move with Rawlinson Moving and we were even
more pleased even though the first two were very good. Our moving team of Mike, Doug and Mark were just that a team. They were professional, quick and we all joked making the move less stressful and even fun. Tom Carney really knows the business and made everything run so smoothly. Scott in dispatch was very helpful as well. We would recommend this company to anyone as we have and will certainly use them in the future. What a pleasure to work with a company that knows what they are doing and does it
so well. They were on time, and the price was right.

We have used this company, since 2001, for a variety of residential moves. Can't praise them highly enough. Our contact person was Tom Carney. They came to the residence each time to see what was moving. Provided a written quote. Staff are careful and thorough. Actually sent a refund cheque once when move did not take as long as expected. They will move us again in Nov., 2013. If you want to go with the "best" use Rawlinson.

We have used Rawlinson on at least 5 occasions and they are terrific. The staff is friendly, professional and prompt. I cannot recommend them too highly! They have everything to nake your move as easy as falling off a log!
