Student Works Painting West

Last year I wanted to get my house painted and hired Student Works because of how detailed, professional and reasonable the quote was. The students were respectful of my garden and I felt I could trust them to do a good job; and they sure did!
This is a great company, that not only provides great quality work but a job for students. They also matched my donation to the MS Society. I have recommended them to all my neighbours.

We had Martin Baluch come and do our exterior painting for our co-op townhouse complex in Port Moody. We not only found him very professional but the quality of work was outstanding. The crew always arrived on time and Martin always kept us updated on the overall progress of the project. Martin and his crew of painters met and went beyond our expectations and we would definitely recommend them for any future painting projects.

I hired Allen Coosemans with student works to paint the exterior of my home last summer. I hired Allen because my daughter went to school with him, and she'd heard he was with student works painting , and she recommended him as an upstanding conscientious guy....good enough for me!
Allen and crew came the evening before and prepped the house, the next day the crew painted the whole house! I was impressed with the work done, as well as the boys themselves! All were polite , pleasant and courteous! They find an amazing job , very quickly, and cleaned up meticulously after themselves! We run our own excavation business, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire boys like these! Allen is a very good young businessman!

Last summer we decided to go with student works to have our entire exterior painted. Molly Smith was the person running it at the time and she was very professional and really knew her stuff! We had three estimates done and we found their pricing to be very fair. All of the painters were polite, clean and always on time. Our job was completed on time and exactly to our specifications, needles to say we were very happy! I would highly recommend them!

I had Erin Josephy from Student Works Painting paint my entire house last summer. I received a flyer in the mail and decided to get a free estimate done. From start to finish Erin was a pleasure to work with. She helped pick out colours, and her knowledge of different paint products was excellent. I found the price reasonable in comparison to other companies and decided to book with her. Her crew showed up on time, and were extremely polite. My fascia and other areas of trim were in bad condition and Erin's crew made sure that the prep was done properly before proceeding with the painting. They were efficient and cleaned up when they finished. The quality of their paint job was great and I am extremely happy. Thank you!

I phone several paint contractors to do the trim on my house that is three stories high. None of the contractors were interested so . I called Student Painters and they arrived on time and did a great job. Highly recommend them to anyone.

THEY DESTROYED MY KITCHEN! I meet with Taylor from Wetaskiwin student works painters in April to get a quote to paint my kitchen cupboards. I agreed on the quote, I paid for the paint and I gave her a deposit. She said it would take one day and they would do the job in May. I contacted her at the end of May and she set a date for June to come, I offered to tsp the cupboards prior to them coming and she told me not to as they would be sanded and prepped. Taylor arrived with her painter who started setting up for the day and then she left. This girl I later learned was fired at the end of the day because of the horrible job she did. She did not sand, fill holes or do the prep that was promised, she painted against the grain of the wood and you could see the wood through the paint and there was paint drip marks on the face of the cabinets. As well she painted one side of the cupboards and flipped them onto plastic when they were still wet and they stuck to the plastic. She got paint on my floor, stove and walls. Taylor arrived at the end of they day to check on the job and was appalled at the job, she told me they would fix it. She brought another girl in a week later, she cleaned my floor and stove and walls (luckily I still had some paint for my walls) she then started to sand down the edges of the cupboards where the paint stuck to the plastic. Then they took my cupboards home to paint them as they could leave enough drying time in between coats. The painter brought them back a week later, they did look better, however the wood was still bleeding through and the paint was not adhering as they had not been prepped properly. This was 2 and 1/2 weeks after the first coat of paint went on. Taylor came 5 days later and was again very apologetic and promised me they would fix it. She took one of my cupboards to show her district manager Kieko and her paint rep, she came back a couple of days later with my cupboard. They told her they would have to be stripped, primed and painted to fix them and it would cost her $2000 and she could not afford to do that so SHE WAS WALKING AWAY FROM THE PROJECT! This is what her district manager Keiko advised her to do. I asked her if I would get my deposit back and she said she would ask. I spoke to Keiko and she told me I should not have painted my cupboards, I should replace my whole kitchen and they won't help fix it. Also that there was no one above her I could talk to. I am devastated that my kitchen is ruined and am still not sure what I am going to do. Please pass this onto your friends and family to stay away from student work painters, this company has no ethics and if they destroy your home they just say oops and walk away!

We love the job they did. Jazmeen and her crew were the best. They came early and work hard in the heat. We are over the top pleased with the job they did. Our neighbours were amazed with the transformation of our house. If you need painting done this is the crew to call.

Hard working guys, but did not estimate the cost properly, could not forsee the result requested. As a result, they had to redo the work under the condition to be paid 1/3 on top of the original quote. It was very disappointing, but the final result was to our satisfaction.
