Gong show

"Sales" didn't inform grade of windows weren't eligible for rebates or recommend ones that were. "Measurer" gave bad info, and ordered the wrong kind of door- took 2 months to fix their error- which I had to hound them about. "Installers" ruined trim, replaced it with crap no one would put on their house, and didn't clean up. Plus more! Informed Starline of the issues, requesting some kind of discount, only got the full invoice in response. Not even a token apology. Unprofessional. What a mistake.

Sliding patio door

We were happy with windows but low review is because of non existent service after the fact. Door latch mechanism failed in just barely over 2 yrs and l was told l would be sent a replacement but that never showed up and now sales person will not respond. If the fellow wasn't going to do anything he should not have said he would. Word Of Mouth is the best, or worst advertising a company can get.

New Home Build

Starline provided windows for our new home build. Shortly after installation problems with the windows were discovered. It took numerous phone calls and many frustrating months to have someone to come out and even look at the problems. When a work person arrived they did a half baked fix and left. Shortly after that, more issues. This company claims that this is an installation "error" and that they are not willing to do anything about it. These are cheap, improperly built windows for which you pay a ton of money. This place takes your money and is not interested in supporting their product. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!

New House

Our contractor directed us to Starline Windows in Kelowna in September 2019 to order our exterior doors and windows for our new build. Starline insisted that we pay 100% prior to delivery, they were delivered and installed in October 2019. Our front door was expensive as it is unique and has stainless steel inserts in it, 4 horizontal and one vertical on both sides. Those inserts were never delivered, it is now June 30/2020 and we have had numerous dated provided when these strips would be installed followed up by excuses why it hasn't happened, they lost them, their supplier lost them, they haven't been shipped and the stories continue. The most recent was for July 2 but we were informed again a few days ago that it will now be sometime after July 20. We are also still missing 2 window screens after 2 different installation dates of screens. We took possession of our house with everything complete with the exception of the Starline's issues which we are patiently waiting for them to complete.
My suggestion for anyone choosing to deal with Starline Windows is to
insist on a substantial holdback on payment until all items are delivered, had they been waiting on a final payment from me of $2000 -$3000 I think this matter would have been resolved months ago.

Window

Starline window installed in my home 2017.Already coming apart.Obviously manufacturing issue. I have left numerous messages about window to starline and they do not reply. I have even emailed them photos of window.I directed my questions to contact number given for this reason. A horrible customer relations company that doesn't stand behind their products. Based on my experience avoid this company.

Replaced all the older windows in my home.

I had a great experience using Starline Windows to replace all the windows in my house.
Prior, I had another company from the “home show” give me a quote, and a friend of mine, who is a contractor suggested using Starline, as he works with them all the time. In all fairness I let the other company know I was getting another quote, and he bad mouthed his competitor. It was unclassy. Also, Starline’s quote was THOUSANDS cheaper!
The guys at Starline were great. Dan came out to measure and gave me a quote promptly. Chris came out to double check the measurements and I had them installed within 7 weeks of ordering. They both helped in giving advice about the type of windows, and which ones should be opening for the house.
Starline exceeded my expectations. There was a group of guys that installed my windows and had everything finished within 3 days. They took away all my old windows and frames, leaving everything tidy. I’m loving my new windows, and no more condensation! I found all the guys friendly, and would recommend using them.

New home windows

Ordered whole home windows from Dan at Starline windows .
All I can say is what a joke .
Out of all the contractors that worked on our home he was by far the worst .
Took forever for him to give us a quote then after many excuses as to why we had to wait so long , four of the windows were the wrong size so more waiting . This of course set others behind .
Six months later and still waiting for the screens that were missing.
Found out after the fact that most contractors dislike dealing with this company too .

Disorganized and rude

I had a lot of windows installed through Starline probably 20+ windows in all, most where OK although there were a few products that weren't exact or were installed slightly at an angle. Then I had the glass repaired as a window broke which costs about $170. I'm not great at checking VISA charges monthly as my bill is online and I usually just pay it, but I did check this time because the amount was so high because by "accident" they charged me an extra $2500!!!! It was apparently a mistake. They barely apologized. There was another confusion about a bill and they couldn't explain it to me and treated me really rudely. I'd say it's all good with Starline until it's not good and something goes wrong and then the customer service is abysmal.

New home construction

Used Starline for all windows for our new home, built 4 years ago. Immediate problems with lack of followup service ... most windows wouldn't close, some wouldn't open; this took over 4 months to resolve, even though it was winter and we were living in the home!

North-facing windows have condensation on outside for several hours each day during winter months;also handprints show and seem to be trapped inside the double panes. I am told this condensation is because of the "Low E coating" which we paid extra for, and is "normal" . Perhaps normal for Starline ... why wasn't I warned about this, and how is it acceptable to have large picture windows I can't see out of for part of the day?
