I have used Homestead on a few occasions. On all occasions, the house was not completely clean to my liking. Faucets would have soap scum, kitchen counter did not feel clean. Always ask to have the light fixtures cleaned and leave them a telescopic duster, but they never clean the fixtures. The last straw was when they cancelled my appointment on the morning that they were to show up. They left me in a stressful situation where I had a party at my house the next day and I had to spend my evening and a good part of my night cleaning the house. Bottom line, I would not recommend Homestead. Not only are they expensive for the cleaning quality that they provide, but they are also not reliable which I had to learn the hard way.

Thank you for your review . I regret Homestead Maid not delivering the excellent service we generally do . I'd have replied earier but was unaware of the existence of Homestars until now ( Oct. 2012 ) . I do recall having a staff crunch at the beginning of 2009 . It was a hard time for us . There was some staff turnover and the new hirees worked out poorly . Fortunately things were fine by the spring of that year . I'm so sorry for your disappointment vis-a-vis the cleaning and the lack of reliability . We have been servicing Toronto residents for 28 years and have always prided ourselves on our excellent record for both staff and client satisfaction . I'd love to have the opportunity to show you that your experience with us was an unpleasant exception .
