We asked for 3 quotes on the tile job. Giulio was competitive, but more than that, we liked his “can do,” co-operative attitude. He was more than happy to adjust to some rather challenging site conditions; specifically, the laundry room floor was very rough. He amended the surface and the results are better than we could have hoped for. Giulio shows up on time and does one job at a time. If you’ve ever hired a trade and had them leave to go to another job before yours is finished, you’ll know how frustrating this can be.

The job was done with an absolute minimum of muss and fuss. The results are excellent. We couldn’t be happier. Money well spent.

If I could give Giulio 1000/10, I would.
He is our go to man for any tile job. He has worked on my sister’s house, my house, my mom’s house- there is a reason we keep hiring him again and again and again. His work is flawless and he leaves the place spotless. Add that to the fact he is extraordinarily easy to work with and it’s hard to believe you’d ever need to work with anyone else.
Believe me when I say: there is no one else we will work with when it comes to tiles/flooring etc.

My husband and I purchased kitchen backsplash tiles hoping to install it ourselves. But after watching a few youtube videos and seeing how much work and materials were required (like wet saw), it was obvious we needed to get a professional to help us.

I had emailed several companies. I had chosen Verona Tile because not only was Giulio was quick to respond with a reasonable quote and quick job completion, he also exemplified the best communication skills out of the ones that we contacted. He was also available to install the backsplash in our kitchen in 3-4 hours. Before inviting him over, he was diligent over email communication. He was extremely professional in his workmanship and craftmanship. The kitchen backsplash looked so beautiful that my family and friends are left completely stunned by the transformation.

Giulio did 3 showers, 2 bathroom floors and 2 kitchen backsplashes for us. He was professional and punctual. There were no issues until 3 weeks after the job was done, we got leaking in the basement ceiling and immediately called the plumber. The plumber came and investigated his own work to find out later that Giulio had not caulked the shower on the main floor which resulted in the leaking in the basement ceiling. I immediately informed Giulio of this who responded, “oh I thought you guys were not moving in for few more weeks, so I didn’t bother to caulk it!” He took no responsibility for the error much to my surprise. 2 months later, the shower in the basement started leaking. He did not respond well. He did not tell me when he would be in as he was busy right now!! Now this was a leaking shower in my world that needs attending to immediately however, he told us he would be in when he had some time. Days passed and eventually I had to call in someone else. This gentleman told me that the tiles on the shower floor were leaking and would need to be removed and replaced. When I confronted Giulio, he said it was not his fault and that “I was lucky he responded to me at all as most contractors would not.” More shock and awe!! Then to save on money I removed the shower base & the tiles myself. The new company also suggested that I remove several tiles up the wall so that he could extend the base etc. I did this and again more shock and awe to find out that the tiles were not even completely covered with adhesive (see photos) and to add insult to injury there was no adhesive on the wall either!! I discussed this with Giulio who and I quote stated “I think it best if we stop all communications.”

The new company warned me that if he has done all your tiling work like this it will eventually leak and cause a lot of damage. I cannot afford to do this immediately & I am having some random tiles removed from the other showers to see if it has been installed properly. In the meantime, it is very disheartening that people come into your home take your hard-earned money and not do the job right. So sad. I do not recommend this company.
Please note that the tiles in the photos were just removed from the shower wall!! 1 did have a blob of adhesive only!! And if you look closely you will see the wall has zero adhesive. Such a shoddy job. And I may have to redo and pay again for a job already done & paid for. I want to cry. And God knows how much damage has already occured!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Giulio. He did our backsplash for us, and did a fantastic job. We couldn't be happier with his work. He was professional, courteous and very personable. On top of that, his work is outstanding. He passed back his discount with his tile supplier, and we bought our tiles at a great rate. He also provided recommendations on grout colour and how to stack the tiles. His recommendation came out great. We're so happy with our kitchen. Thank you Giulio!!! 10/10!!!

Guilio was excellent at communication from start to finish. He showed up on time and completed the project quickly. He tiled our basement shower and did a natural stone face around our fireplace. We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend!!

We hired Giulio after finding a very high overall HomeStars rating. Just as we had read, Giulio was very professional in all his dealings with us. It did take a while to get started, but once the job(s) began, we felt we could simply leave him to work. His quote was fair; he was punctual, and he was dedicated to his work. We are very happy with his impeccable kitchen tile installation, and powder room demolition and renovation. Giulio worked non-stop until both jobs were done. Lastly, I had requested a clean-up of one bathroom where the caulking was eroded. Giulio did this and did not charge us for it. Would we recommend Giulio and his work? Without hesitation. Stellar.
