Alexander's Flooring

Hired Alexander Flooring company to have my carpet and old wood floor removed. They removed the carpet and as I wanted a solid floor they went thru the trouble to nail in the sub-floor before installing the floor. The finished product looks great and was done on time. He is a great communicator and a very fair person to deal with. I would highly recommend him to any friend or family.

The work Alex and his guys do is fantastic! They installed new bamboo flooring in our reno space and it looks absolutely beautiful. His guys were prompt and reliable...they came to the house and got it done in a day! There was a problem with one of the mouldings we had ordered...it didn't match the flooring colour properly. His guys caught the problem before it got installed and Alex was very helpful with the problem solving to fix it right. We are wanting to have more flooring installed in order to have the new space match our old space...Alex made sure that we ordered enough flooring for the entire space so that things will match when the time comes. We have already talk to Alex about phase two and can't wait to get the next part done. Thank you, Alex!

Alexander flooring service has been very professional and the quality of work has been outstanding. Alex is very reasonable and gives me the time in explaining what has to be done and what is to be expected. I have used other flooring companies and have not been satisfied with the service provided. I have since referred many friends to Alex and to look no further.

We used Alex a few times!~ He's a fun guy. We did a project in our basement where he stained our brand new stairs to match our laminate flooring. It was awesome. He also did our mantel and railing. Upstairs we had him install our flooring and him and his crew did a great job!

I can’t say enough good things about Alexander Flooring. From my initial meeting with Alex to the installation of my chosen hardwood, and follow up visit, it was an excellent experience.
The installers showed up promptly in the morning and, in order to accommodate my renovation schedule, stayed well after normal business hours. Given that my house is very small and I own a lot of furniture (with nowhere else to go in the house) they had a lot of extra shifting to do to get the job done - which they did without complaint.
Best of all, the floor looks amazing!

Alex was recommended to me to install my new Bamboo Floors in my old house in East York. As it turned out there was a problem with the wood flooring and Alex's team stopped immediately to inform my of the problem. Alex had a solution ready for me - he negoiated a very good deal with the lumber supplier to exchange what I bought for better flooring. After inspecting the problem I agreed with Alex and gave him the go ahead. After which the floors were installed and look amazing.

I have since moved and my new house has hardwood underneath carpet. Called Alex again. He came in did some small repairs and then refinished the floors. Once again top notch work!!

My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the service from Alexander. We paid over $10000 for labour cost alone, and our stairs are not finished. We have waited 3 months to get the stain from Alexander so we could stain our risers but ended up purchasing some stain from Canadian Tire today. We have called Alexander many times and each time he has promised to deliver the stain to our house. We have finally given up waiting for it. We made the mistake of paying him before the work was totally done. We purchased a home and decided to replace the carpet with laminate flooring. Alexander said the work would take 9 days to finish. We were moving into the house in 3 weeks. He promised to get the work done way before our move so we could clean up all the dust. Unfortunately his worker was not there everyday according to his instructions. Several times his workers would spend one hour gathering up their equipment from our garage to take it to another work site and would not come back until days later. So when moving day came, the stairs were still NOT finished! It was a nightmare. Luckily, we were able to reschedule the moving company for the next day but we moved into a house full of wood dust. Alexander is obviously not a man of integrity since he does not keep his word. The bottom line is that we paid too much money for sloppy and unfinished work. I would not recommend him to anyone.
