John-luc and Sandra were very helpful in sorting out a dryer venting issue in our basement laundry room. They had some very good solutions to deal with previous work that was not up to code, and did the work quickly and cleanly. It was a very good experience after several other vent cleaners could not do the work because of the complexity, and another contractor would not take the work because the job was relatively small. We will use them again when we have the need.

I discovered that water from the upstairs bathroom was leaking into my laundry room. Having not used contractors very often, I was nervous about who to hire. I am so glad that John-luc was available to help. He and his team were very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained what they had to do and showed me every step. While they were there, I asked questions about other issues I noticed around the house and they were able to fix all those problems as well. When given the bill, I asked Sandra to recheck her figures because I could not believe the cost was so reasonable. I am planning to have them back to do some outside work whenever they are available. I have other projects in mind for the future as well. I would highly recommend them to others.

We recently bought a home and needed work done to it. We were recommended to John-Luc and Sandra through a friend. At the beginning they listened to our needs and was confident that our will be met. I purchased a run down multi unit investment property. It required a complete redo as well as the addition of 3 2 bedroom apartments.

The job was extensive and I had apprehensions about choosing a contractor. That was until I met John Luc Rizzo and his partner/wife Sandra.

This major project was completed on time and on budget. John and Sandra are professional, friendly and knowledgable and were able to bring my vision of this project to fruition.

The building is up and running and maintaining positive cashflow. I am looking forward to my next project whereupon I will readily employ the services of John Luc and his lovely wife Sandra.

I went through an extensive basement renovation with John-Luc and Sandra, and the end result is excellent.

Up front before the work started, John-Luc and Sandra described the work they would do and some of the materials they would use. They only specified good building practices and good quality materials. The pricing was appropriate for what they described but less costly than some other contractors I spoke with. I did find a contractor who was willing to do things for less, but to achieve that lower price, that other contractor wanted to cut some corners. To put it another way, John-Luc and Sandra charged a very reasonable price for good work, not a low price for poor work.

The renovation involved not only demolition of the existing finished basement's interior but also removal of several support walls and replacement with new metal and wood (LVL) support beams. They found a good and reasonably priced architect for me and worked closely with both the architect and the engineering firm to ensure all was done correctly. John-Luc and Sandra did much of the work themselves, and were obviously quite meticulous, taking the time to make sure things were done right. However, the other trades they brought in for the job also impressed me, and in fact, I have since hired the electrician they used for another electrical job in my house.

John-Luc and Sandra were always quick to answer any questions. During the day they were always reachable by phone, but if I thought of any questions in the evening or on the weekend I would email them, and by the next business day I would have an answer.

All in all, I am very satisfied with John-Luc's and Sandra's work. I would definitely recommend them.

On July 15th/2010 John-luc Rizzo General Contractor finished a project at my home. The project consisted of an extensive renovation throughout the whole house especially in the basement. The house had to be gutted, underpinned in the basement,and landscaped outside. New kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, electrical, plumbing, heating, support walls, windows, doors, water lines were installed. I was very impressed with the outcome of the work and the timeliness of the project. The customer service i recieved was second to none! I will definitely use this company in the future.

We contracted John-Luc and Sandra's team to update our basement living area (drywall ceiling, closet doors, repair mold, window well repair and tile). Throughout the entire process they were always approachable(in person, phone and by email) and their crew was very professional. They were always respectful of our concerns and willing to accomodate our schedule. For us it was a great relief to have trustworthy, diligent people that showed up on time, did the work and were easy to deal with. I have decided to upgrade my kitchen living area and I was looking for some contractor that will do the job at reasonable price and that was well qualified and by chance i got the name of John-Luc and I contracted him and the rest is history I am extremely satisfied with the results thanks John-Luc
