Sony 40" LCD TV

I guess the bottom line is that we had in home service warranty but we brought in a TV for repair because we thought it would be quicker to repair. Small thin line appeared on far left of tv and slowly works its way up and then slowly slightly widened. TransGlobal inspected TV and confirmed no damage to TV when brought in. My husband called to follow up and they said screen is broken and would have to be replaced. When questioned, they would not elaborate. Further follow-up, they said still being reviewed. Followed up again and oh, now appears to be damaged due to neglect or something on our part. Huh!!! Simply can not believe this warranty service. TV very protected on high dresser in Master Bedroom. No discussion possible with TransGlobal. Option bluntly put Pick up TV or Pay. When questioned, was hung up on. For the record, would say I was patient, kind and calm but did challenge.

Washer

Brand new stagling washer and dryer bought from the Brick. Never used, first day set up and first try for testing washer, no clothes in it. The machine was making huge noise and was smoking and trigled house fire alarm. Went back to Brick, they don't talk to me for any extra words and just gave me the # of Transglobe services. Called set up a appointment of 5 days later. By the way, really had bad call experience to Transglobe call centre. I agree with the another reviewer that in terms of warranty that Brick and Tansglobe services would be the top 2 worst companyes in Canada.

Repair and Warranty of Washer

Well we bought our Samsung washer from the Brick, with an extended warranty from the Brick owned Transglobal. Oh we should have known.
The washer has been problems from day 1 and Transglobal have been dragging their feet in repairing it. They claim no issue, but the spin cycle is clearly not working. When a repairman finally does arrive he doesnt actually do anything and claims that they are in a rush and have no time to diagnose the problem.
At this point the warranty is a legal contract so there are other options, but seriously- I cant imagine why anyone would use these people, emailing customerservice@transglobalservice is like emailing a black hole. Dont bother.
At this point, I dont recommend the Brick to anyone and I dont recommend Transglobal which is owned by the Brick to anyone.

Maytag EPIC -Z front load washing machine

I recently wrote a review on here criticizing TransGlobal inaction to fix my machine. After speaking with a manager, the Technician showed up 2 days later and replaced the part. Most of the reps I dealt with were very polite and at no time was anyone ever rude to me. I was getting quite frustrated however, and I am not a patient guy. Anyhow thanks to TransGlobal for fixing the problem which was a minor mix up and thanks to the Technician who did the repair. The Tech was a nice friendly guy and a very conscientious worker.
I will not hesitate to put a TransGlobal warranty on my next appliance.
Thanks TransGlobal

tv repair

Transglobal has attempted to repair my LG TV 7 times. Of those 7 times they have failed to show up once. Ordered the wrong part twice. Failed to order the part for two months. Have failed to return at least 8 calls they promised to return. Have failed on every conceivable level of customer service know to mankind. I cannot express how poorly they acted. I have attempted to get my expensive television warranty repaired for 1 1/2 years. Warranty has run out because of Trans global and I have had to fight with LG to cover the warranty because I have not had a working tv for most of my warranty period. To LG's credit they have covered the repair even out of warranty because of Trans Globals foul ups. I honestly and truly have spoken with over a dozen people or more, 2 of them have been helpful. Truly the absolute most awful customer service experience of my life. I am at the point of spending another few thousand dollars on a new TV rather than have to deal with these people again. Currently awaiting a reply from Trans Global in the latest round of trying to get my repair done. I hold out no hope they will keep their promise and phone me back. Absolutely disgusted.

Maytag Refridgerator

I have had 5 service calls to my home, my fridge makes a high pitched noise for 15 seconds, click and repeats itself 4 mins later. I have had a relay replaced as of yesterday. Noise is still present, waiting for a call on loner. Have called 4 times can't get a straight answer from anyone.

I am totally pissed.

LG front loader

On my purchase receipt from the Brick at the bottm it states, "Trans global warranty corporations protection plan explained" besides 2 unchecked boxes that say accepted or declined and a space for the buyers signature all of which is empty.....I had NO idea that the store, the Brick, would NOT be servicing our appliance, a front loader LG max capacity, when I bought the expensive gold warranty plan....... In Sept. 08, I noticed a metal ring on the front door seal had broke as well as a bit of rust coming through. I called trans global, and they assured me a service call would be forth coming from someone local. No call ever came. I repeated this 3 times, with no result. Since the machine was still operational and my time limited, I'd wait a couple of weeks and try again. Finally sometime in November a helpful agent (quite rare) took my information and informed me that NO file had ever been opened regarding the washer!! I was stunned. They simply blew sunshine up my arse I suppose, hung up and repeated to the next complaint. This time the agent promised a "call" from a service provider...gave me a file reference number, AND the phone number of the local repair business they would be using (which incidentally I had to find as it was the only one close) No one called but having their number, I contacted them. An appointment was set up for the first week in December. By this point, the washer was completely belly up. The appointment was not kept, so I called again and was informed that they, the service provider, tried to contact me several times, which was a total crock 'o' sheet as I have call display. A new appointment was set up. A kid comes over and appears not to be able to figure out how to turn it on. He looks at it for a few minutes and the jobs "done". "What's going on I ask?" "We'll have to order parts."
"Oh, ok how long will that take?" I ask, assuming the servicer is going to be ordering parts. His response: "I don't know, could be 2 weeks could be 2 months" I repeat this rather stupified but apparently that's all I'm a gettin'.
"We'll contact you in a day or so" he promises. Naturally no one contacts and I assume they're ordering parts and will contact me when they arrive. I wait the first week...wait the second week....no one calls. I try to call the servicer but there's no answer. I call Trans global, thankfully with my reference number and they say that THEY order the parts but cannot do so until they here from the service provider. Apparently Transglobal doesn't like to be inconvenienced with setting up or following through with the service providers, so I spend more time calling and leaving requests with the servicer to contact transglobal so they can order parts so I can get the hell out of my stale underwear and back to living. It's now close to Christmas. I call transglobal again (incidentally, they never return phonecalls)and they say they received the parts request and it has to go through such and such and blah blah blah and someone will contact me from the servicer when the parts come in. They cannot give a time frame. I call the servicer who tells me to contact them when I get the parts. I say that THEY are to contact me when the parts come in to THEM. The servicer say the parts are coming to me. Back to Transglobal. I just want to know where the parts are coming so I can stay on top of the dam situation and transglobal tells me when I state that the servicer told me I'm getting the parts delivered directly that, AND I QUOTE "We NEVER deliver the parts directly to the customer" well guess what...that's exactly what happened. Now we're into Christmas and I get a pre recoreded message from transglobal that says "you're parts are BEEEEEEEEEP". That's all folks! The parts finally arrive at my house a few days before Christmas but guess what folks, the service provider can't get here til January 13 2009. Happy New Year to me. I spend the holidays in the laundry mat and mark the days til the 13th. Team doofus shows up again but guess what...they need MORE parts. The motor is burned out as well as other things. They'll "call me and let me know". Back to transglobal.....they can't do anything til they hear from the servicers. "Well what if they never call?" I ask. There's nothing they can do. A week later, I still cannot contact the servicer and transglobal is STILL sitting pretty. I finally contact the Brick where someone sweetly informs me that I have to call Transglobal. I explain as calmly as I can so I don't pop a vein, that the thing is not going anywhere and that I learned my lesson NEVER to buy an appliance from an outfit the does NOT service it. As of today, a week after the last fruitless service call, apparently something WAS sent into transglobal (just today after many many calls) (I call daily now looking for answers) and I'm now waiting for my call to be returned (I'm not holding my breath) by a manager. 4 times I called today and got promises of a returned phone call which naturally wasn't going to happen so now I shall write an e-mail directly to them and resume the calls again tomorrow. Moral of the story......do NOT buy from these non caring big box stores where you become invisible the second your credit card goes through. There is no customer service. They get the cash and farm your warranty out to these cyber places that are another step removed and they scrape you off onto service providers that care even less. Stick with places that provide servicing. It's worth the extra money. Never again I say.

update: No call backs on the 19th...called the brick who said "we can't do much but call transglobal on your behalf" Got a call from a manager who said that they JUST received the info from service provider at 5pm NOW they have to decide whether it will be replaced or parts ordered. She also said snottily that the service provider said she talked to me yesterday about this. YES, I tell her, the service provider said she sent the information YESTERDAY and I should know today...so how come Transglobal said they just got it NOW? Someones a fibbing...stay tuned folks....it should be interesting....now if they order me parts.....the whole dam nightmare begins a new

Washing Machine

To cut a long story short..We had Trans Global services come over to service a Bosch washing machine...2 months later, they successfully made 1 problem into 4 problems...they are the absolute pits, customer service is terrible and the repair people really don't know what they're doing...I'm amazed this company still functions. To anyone out there, when buying an appliance, verify who the warranty provider is (the best case is the person/company who sold you the product), and if it turns out to be Trans Global Services, go somewhere else to buy the appliance.

Maytag Dishwasher

I also bought a Maytag dishwasher from the Brick. Like the other post, it broke down, it was fixed all in good time. The last time, oh my god, it was a dreadful experience, like the first post, I called a service provider, they said it was the control panel and the part was on back order, a month later after many calls to Transglobal, the service provider phoned and said there is no part in Canada or the U.S. Then suddenly a part showed up in another City. Many times they said they would look into it. A transglobal rep said the same line over and over. The latest call was the awefullest, she went on a long tirade, raising her voice and was totally angry at having to tell me what has been done (which was nothing). Finally, spoke with a decent rep who actually wanted to help. They said the part was back east, and for the service provider to get a hold of it. Hope that it comes in soon. Or was it just another line to get me off the phone. If your buying anything over $300 or higher, get extended warranty, ask who carries the warranty, are they in your province, "before" you pay your hard earned money for it. Once they get your money that's it, they won't care if your machine breaks down any more, its out of their hands and in the hands of the warranty carrier, who'll fight to the ends of the earth not to help you.
Addendum Dec 23, 2008: Well, it's been since Nov. 17, and a ton a phone calls to Transglobal and still no part, no follow up, nothing since I first wrote the post on Dec. 17, its now Dec. 23rd. I paid so much hard earned money for a larger size dishwasher, I thought it was going to be great with a Maytag that I bought at the brick. Bought extended warranty, little did I know that the Brick does not cover the warranty, a place I don't know of called TRANSGLOBAL does. I called them every week for over a month and nothing has been done. I hope that someone reads this and takes head to buy their stuff at a reputable dealer who covers their own warranty. I would wish this on any one! Shame on you transglobal.
