Vahn was very informative, helpful and thorough. He spent more than three hours going around, over and through the house. He did his assessments, then explained his findings during the inspection itself. The next day he sent a 76 page document that explained in detail all his findings, with photographs for clarity. The document described the most important to the least important concerns and contained several references and links to further describe and clarify his findings. We felt more confident buying our home knowing what to expect, what to fix, and when to do it. We will definitely recommend Vahn's Solex Group to others. We spent a long time researching home inspection companies before finally deciding to use Solex Group and were very impressed with the service provided. Vahn did a home inspection for us two months ago and I am still impressed. He was very professional and answered all our questions in patience. I found Solex through the Homestars website. Vahn arrived early and began right away. He spent 3 hours inspecting the house (1200 sq ft). His inspection was thorough and detailed and he did an excellent job explaining his observations as he went along. Vahn works to a high standard of excellence and I was thoroughly impressed.

His report was done very professionally with all photos and details of recommended tasks to be completed. Very helpful info in the report is a list of estimated cost of repair.

I recently purchased a new home and had to do a last minute inspection after closing to verify some fixes the original owner had done before closing. I also took the time to have Vahn inspect the entire house since I had some concerns with the original pre-inspection that was done on the house. Vahn was top notch start to finish and surpassed all my expectations. He takes the time to go over every little detail with you as he does his work, and breaks everything down for you in language you can understand. Vahn even went on the roof, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but you would be surprised how many other inspectors might not do the same.
