Rosati Drywall

My husband and I needed to do some renovations on our second floor. We contacted Rob who came and gave us 2 quotes. One for doing the drywall and work required. The other for doing 2 of the rooms for just mudding, taping and sanding. Both quotes were really great but in the end my husband decided to do the drywall himself and hire Rob for the remaining work. He ended up needing too bump us a week later than our requested start date but he came by and gave us final quote right away and finalize the cost. He also offered to come in the evenings and weekends if he had time so he could try and start the job earlier. He came in early and finished the job in the time line he quoted. He was quick, respectful, clean and very polite. I would highly recommend him and we'll definitely call him again when we're ready to do more renos.

I encountered Rob and his crew through Homestars. We needed their help to fix a project that stalled due to another drywalling team dragging their heels and producing shoddy work. Rob's team did all of the things that are expected of a good crew - showed up on time for the estimate, quoted a fair price, came to the job site on time, finished on time and completed the work in a professional manner. We were very pleased with the end result. The general contractor that I had on site to oversee the larger renovation was very impressed, and he typically doesn't have positive things to say about other tradespersons.

I must admit that I had difficulty finding availability on their schedule, as the crew is very popular - likely due to their strong Homestars ranking. However, it was worth being patient and engaging them.

The project included fixing ceilings that had been scraped to remove stiple, patching of walls where fake wainscoting was removed, detailed skimming and sanding of a bulkhead which required a level of patience and skill that most drywallers don't possess. Some of the ceilings required scaffolding and tricky corner work near an existing crown moulding, but this didn't deter the crew from accepting the job or from tying it in perfectly to the rest of the project. The overall job was broken into two parts. They did such a professional job on the first part that we didn't hesitate to bring them back a couple of months later for a smaller job.

We would highly recommend Rob and his crew. Going forward we would definitely use them again.

We had an awful dated popcorn ceiling that extended into our kitchen and we needed to smooth it out. Rob was quick with coming by for a quote and told me exactly how long it would take. We also had him touch up some drywall problems in another area of the house. The ceiling looks like it was never anything but smooth! Amazing job.

EXCELLENT workmanship. Dealt with all the problems of uneven drywall installation and improperly installed corner beads and simply fixed it so that his plastering will be perfect. Rob is quick, a perfectionist and calm when working. It was a stress-free experience. I would definitely hire him again.

PERFECTION in terms of Taping as well as Drywalling my basement and garage!!!! Extremely professional staff, work ethics and No-FROWN accommodation to changes …… and the list goes on and on. I waited for a couple of weeks to write this review in hope of finding the right words to describe the outstanding work done by Rob and his team, but no words could ever do justice to this craftsmanship.

I am a perfectionist and very few have been able to meet my standards. Rob is on the top of the list and will be remembered forever. He has come back twice to repair some imperfections that were not within the scope of his work.

Rob also had to repair my dining room wall which was badly drywalled, He put about 5 coast of mud to get it perfect and would not even accept money for the arduous additional work. I had to literally stuff a few extra bucks into his pocket. You do not get that anywhere.

I have seem some drywall and taping jobs from others that show bumps and cracks after the fact. The paint job after Rob’s work shows perfect walls and most importantly the ceilings which are harder to do.

We hired Rob Rosati off homestars.com for a big project in Riverdale, involving two stories of a completely gutted and reframed house with a tall cathedral ceiling. Rob was fantastic beginning with accurately measuring and estimating the material, scheduling the installation and mudding, stay with the schedule, showing gentlemanly patience and tact for the little troubles we made here and there, then doing extraordinary work in taping and mudding - straight lines and corners, perfectly flat ceilings and walls, amazing work on a rather complicated and angled cathedral ceiling with bay and dormer windows, bulkheads, built-in closet, etc. He arranged to clean the site twice - after drywalling and upon completion. Rob is professional, efficient, honest, and reliable - we're very happy with his work and so will be you!!

I was very impressed with Rob and his crew. To start with Rob showed up when he said he would which gets good marks in my book. Rob did an excellent job finishing the board all of which required skimming because I was using Dens Armor plus fiberglass board. His price was in line with the other three quotes I received but his work was far superior to the other two contractors I have used in the past. I would certainly use Rob again and I have recommended him to others. Very good work. He seems to be a new class of contractor that does not whine or do sloppy work.
