Tip Top Trough

I found Pierce on homestars and liked what others wrote about him and his company. I decided to hire him and did not regret it. The team that did the work did a great job. The areas that needed work we're complicated and hard to reach but did not seem to be a problem for Tip Top.

Pierce and his team were very prompt and kept me in the loop every step of the way. They were very professional and got the job done in a timely manner.

Like other reviewers, I called multiple companies to quote on a fix for my eaves troughs that were pulling away from the soffits and spilling water onto the ground below. One company promised to call back to arrange a time for a visit, and others never called back. Only Pierce followed through.

There were some communication difficulties due to technology issues, but when Pierce did show up, he was thorough, explained the options of repair and replace, and never did a hard sell on replacing everything instead of a quick repair.

He had a cancellation and job was done sooner than expected. The work looks very well done (it's 2 storeys up!), and after several rains, the water is no longer spilling over the edges onto the ground.

I fully intend to call TTT again for downspout disconnection and when replacing is necessary.

As of November, 2011,East York residents were required to disconnect their downspouts . I called 4 companies listed on your website and, although Tip Top was not the cheapest, I feel I got what I paid for. Pierce was very professional and I felt very comfortable talking with him and felt that I would get the service quoted on the estimate , and I was not disappointed. I would have no trouble recommending them.

For some unknown reason, our downspout was routed to drain directly against our home's foundation: causing leaking in the basement. We got several reviews, but Tip Top Trough offered the most sensible solution at the most reasonable price. They were clear about the work that they were going to do, and worked hard to make the work neat. We're very happy with the service and have recommended them to friends.

We were originally happy with their work upon completion of the job. After a year, however, it became clear that their approach to drainage and their additional recommendations (e.g. leaf guards) added to our water and ice problems. All of the things their work was supposed to solve were actually made worse by their interventions. Other trough companies have agreed. Tip Top are good guys but they did a bad job for us. Hopefully just a one-off.

I called the two eavestrough companies rated 1 and 2 on the Homestars website and left messages about needing my eavestroughs replaced numerous times - neither ever bothered to call me back. I called Top Top Trough and Pierce called me back promptly and came around to provide an estimate within a few days - exactly as he promised. He gave me the good news that he could repair, rather than replace my eavestroughs - and the repairs were done within about a week. I didn't need to be home for any of it. He was a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to call him again or recommend him to someone else.

I chose Tip Top from the high ratings it had on Home Stars and - once again - this service proved its merit, as did Pierce and the team at Tip Top.
They delivered, exactly as promised. Pierce was great to deal with on the phone and he and his team (who actually did the job) turned up as expected and did everything the way they said they would.
It was a really first class effort, and experience. I highly recommend this company, through homestars and will also be recommending them to colleagues and friends.
If you (like me) are procratinating about who to call and whether or not to get the job done... take my advice, just pick up the phone and call Pierce, you won't be disappointed!
