I recently contacted Harry for advice to deal with another waterproofing contractor we had engaged whose work quickly became a source of enormous stress & concern for us. Harry & his son Chris were very generous with their time, offering immensely practical & detailed advice on how to mitigate the damage that was being done by this work which had already started & could not be fully stopped without resulting in nasty litigation. Life lesson learned from this experience: it pays to spend the extra bit of money front end to get peace of mind on work as significant as waterproofing. City-Wide offers that peace of mind. Our next waterproofing job will definitely be with them.

This company is really amazing! Right from my initial phone call to receiving my warranty certificate, everything was executed to a "T"!

The secretary was very nice and took down my information. Chris called me when she said he would. Chris arrived on time for our initial meeting, he definitely knows the business inside and out, I was quite impressed. After receiving a couple more quotes, CityWide was right in the middle as far as pricing goes. I decided to go with them based on their reputation in the business and more thorough process of foundation waterproofing.

The crew arrived to conduct the work on the date (and time) Chris had told me. Right from the begging of the job, the crew took time and care in preparing for the manual excavation. I could tell they take a great deal of pride in their work. The did an excellent clean up and I couldn't be happier!

It's good to see a company that exudes a sense of hard work and honesty. Communication at times was in need of improvement, however these fellas did a good overall job waterproofing the side of my house and installing a sump pump. They kept the place clean, were punctual and took their jobs seriously.

I called CityWide Group about a week ago after the big storm. they came within 24 hours of my call and addressed the situation right away! They came back a couple days later to excatae around 2 sides of my house and install new weeping tiles & membranes.

Very clean and tidy. They were very helpful and nice to deal with.

I own an 90+ year old home in Hamilton that is currently used as and income property. My tennant was getting water leaking into the basement and was going to move out. Thanks to Chris & CityWide Group, they were able to come within a week to stop the leak and my tennant stayed. I would use them again if I am in need of their sevices and owuld refer them to friends and family.

I agree with so many of the reviews on this site and now truly see why everyones been so happy with this company. They really did a perfect job from start to end. There is nothing I can say that I would have had them do differently. Brilliant!

When reading the recommendations on websites its hard to know how much is truth and how much is fiction. City Wide has received great reviews, and we now know why. Not only do they do excellent work (they repaired two leaks that had been giving us problems for years) but their prices are fair and they are a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend City Wide.

I used the City Wide Group to resolve basement water issues that I had with a house that I purchased a year ago. The house is 60 years old and had an outdated weeping tile system. I was able to meet with Harry, who outlined all steps involved, and estimate for the time that they work would take and the cost. They were able to start 1 week later. After the first day that the work was started, I arrived home to witness a very clean, and minimally disrupted area where the work was being done, that included tarped areas. The work was completed within 2 and 1/2 days, and when done, I was impressed with the fact that I hardly could tell that a major excavation had been completed around my house. They even hosed down any dirt in the front area and driveway. There was minimal disruption to the neighbours property since the space inbetween the 2 houses did not leave a lot of room to work and they were able to preserve the neighbours trees. I was happy with the work that was done, the professionalism and hard work of all their workers, and the ease of the whole process. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs this type of work completed.

Their service was superior and the work was beyond my expectation. Most importantly, this company has a "moral concience"; their employees stay with them for 30 years which tells me City Wide treat thier employees well. I recommended them to my friends. Best decision made. This is a huge undertaking. Underpinning is a type of job not to be given to anyone. Choose very carefully! City wide was prompt, gave a timely quote, started when promised, presented costs for additional work I requested during the job. There were no surprises in the end. The crew that worked with us treated our family and home with utmost respect, got the job done right and well beyond expectations. Issues come up during a job of this magnitude, City Wide are great problem solvers, they are all gentlemen and I would recommend them to you. City Wide is as professional as they come. They have the proper underpinning insurance and carry all the proper credentials. Pricing is a tad more but you get what you pay for. I also requested additional work outside of the contract along the way. Radiant floor heating, furnace installation and some needed plumbing. Well tackled. Our family thought moving was our only option for more space, we did not want to build an addition because we love our garden. MLS Listing fees and percentages coupled with the land transfer tax would add up to more than this job cost. It made sense to have this project completed. Well worth the investment! Thanks Chris and Harry and all the gents on the crew. If you think I am gushing... I am... I just know too many people with absolute horror stories of underpinning gone wrong. Good luck!
