Just writing a little blurb about our experience with Richard this morning. Our heating had been out since the night before. Richard arrived promptly a little before our appointment time. Turned out I didn't know a boiler from a furnace. He said he worked on furnaces, but he had a look and found the simple fix for our problem with our boiler. Made a reccomendation for a boiler guy.
He also took some time to inspect a tankless water heater install done by Direct Energy and pointed out where they could have done things much better.

I'd have no trouble reccomending him to friends and family...

My furance was not working probaberly the temperature in the house was only 58 degrees, Richard was out that night accessed the problem (needed a new furnace), and was installing it the next day, he would call me downstairs and show me exactly what he was doing and why, his helpers are very freindly and knowledgeable as well. There is still a problem with the termastat because the wire needs to be replaced and he is coming back to fix it. Always on top of things and always asks if everything is ok. When I had my tankless water heater installed 1 year ago Richards brother Chris I believe installed this unit, I just love it you never run out of hot water and Chris was also very friendly, knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we were aware of everything they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves as well. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I came across CORETEMP while searching online for a company who could service my furnace. On a whim I gave them a call and the owner himself answered to diagnose the problem based on my description. They were able to come by the day after. I was given a diagnosis and possible solutions. There was never any pressure to proceed with any work and I was even directed to alternate companies in case I wanted a second opinon. I decided to go with CORETEMP and was extremely satisfied. They came the same day to install a new furnace (because mine was leaking carbon monoxide into the house!!!) and had the work done in no time flat!!! Clean installation and friendly service. I would definitly recommend to everyone.

I am writing this review to convey my satisfaction and sincere thanks to Richard from CoreTemp Heating and Air. Late in the evening, on a recent Saturday evening during an extreme cold spell, my new furnace system would not ignite. I was unable to contact the gentleman who installed my system. After several frantic phone calls to local HVAC dealers, I was referred to Richard from CoreTemp. Richard patiently walked me through each and every step of the troubleshooting process until the problem was remedied. Not only did Richard unselfishly give his time and expertise in ensuring that my 4 year old and 2 year old daughters slept warm that night, but he also followed up the next day on his own accord to ensure that the system was still operating as required. None of Richard's time was for profit. In today's day and age, these acts of dedication and committment are seldom seen. I salute you Richard.

We were looking to replace our heating system in the house since our system at the time was very outdated and inefficient. We called CoreTemp heating and they were able to come in and install the system in less time than we previously expected. They did an excellent job, and I would definitely recommend them to our friends!

Just wanted to post a note on here regarding the service I just received from Coretemp and Richard Payer. Our furnace is 18 years old and this morning when we woke up we noticed how cold the house was. I turned up the thermostat and left for a few hours. I got back home early afternoon and realized our furnace had not gone back on and had been off for probably the entire night. As it was New Years Eve (around 2:00pm at this time) and tomorrow being a Stat Holiday, I thought my chances of getting anyone out to have a look at it were slim and none. We remembered having Richard out to look at our air conditioner a few years back and still had his number. I gave him a call and he was knocking at my door 25 minutes later. He got my furnace up and running again. Thanks again Richard.

I contacted Core Temperture yesterday afternoon and Richard answered the phone (NO ANSWERING SERVICE!!!). I told him that my furnace wasn't cycling properly and he gave me some idea of what the problem could be and was out to fix it first thing this morning. He told me that the sensor needed to be cleaned and explained that the thermostat might also be causing some problems. He checked for cracks and even showed me what he was inspecting. He explained what he was doing step by step. Since he left the furnace has been running smoothly. I would definitely call Core Temp again.

We bought a house that was 25 years old. The first thing we did after buying was to conduct an Energy Audit and start looking for a contractor to change the furnace and AC. I also started researching tankless hot water systems. Searching online, I contacted 3 contractors. Richard was the only person to call me back. He immediately indicated that he was not a salesperson but would help me however he could. He took over an hour on the phone to explain the system. He might not be a salesperson but he did a heck of a job 'selling' me on the benefits of a tankless hot water heater and his services. When he mentioned that he could also install the furnace and AC, I invited him over to look things over and explain what would be needed.

On the day in question, Richard and Chris arrived on time (very early in the morning) and started to work on installing the AC outside. The job was finished in two days as promised. During those two days, Richard and Chris were very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. The left the area in which they worked as clean as when they arrived. After the work was completed, I called Richard a number of times for various reasons. On every call, he was patient and took the time to answer all of my questions. It has now been over a year and we are extremely satisfied with the work provided by CoreTemp. I would recommend Richard and his team to anyone, anytime. In fact, I have on a number of occasions. :-) They are a top notch company.

There were many issues at my new house. Richard gave me helpful options, repaired what he didn't need to replace. Re-used some parts when he could... All to keep the costs down as that was a criteria for me. After that - I called them for minor repairs, advice and then, a furnace, tankless system for me and 3 of my friends! They are very trustworthy and knows all the makes and models. I will use them anytime I have HVAC needs!

Great, friendly service. I like when the boss shows up and works alongside his crew! They showed up when they said they would, got the job done efficiently and stuck to the price even when there were unexpected extras. They came back for a minor adjustment at no extra cost too.
