Decks R Us/Franmac Construction

Decided to hire Frank based on all the great reviews here. He came over to check out the site and gave us a decent quote for the job. Seemed very professional.

However the subcontractors he sent over to do the job seemed less than ideal. Finished my parking pad all in a single day but it looked pretty bad (weird shape, did not align with my lot geometry, a few broken brick pieces here and there, not enough sand, ugly asphalt patching)... so I called Frank to have them redo it all from scratch. They came back within a few days, took all the brick out and reinstalled everything according to my instructions. They complained a lot during this whole process... and I also felt pretty bad about them having to redo it all over again... but it was their fault not mine.

All in all not the stellar experience I had expected based on all the great reviews here. But to be fair they did redo everything from scratch for just a few hundred extra bucks.

Frank and his team did an amazing job.
I'm used to people not doing enough work for the money I pay but for a change Frank and his team did more than we agreed to do. He went and build Gate and bench for the deck. His team is professional and polite and boy do they work.
Every day they leave the area is left clean and neat.
I would highly recommend Frank and his crew to anyone.

We called Frank to renovate our deck. He dropped by the next day to look at our 10 yr old deck. We have some ideas about the bigger features we would like on the deck (i.e. bench seatings), and he helped us filled in the finer details (i.e. lattices at the bottom of the deck). He gave us a quote that night.
Once we have decided to have Frank build our deck and agreed on a schedule, his crews started to work. After 5 days, (slightly behind schedule), the deck is complete. There were a few things I didn't like about the finishes, but Frank and his crew took care of the issues right away. At the end, the result speaks for itself (see picture).
The weather was a bit cold and rainy at the start of the project, but Frank and his crews still worked hard to get the deck done.
I would definitely recommend using his service.

Frank is very knowledgeable and gave me confidence that the job would be done right. Frank visited my house several times to make sure the work was going well. When I wasn't totally satisfied with some of the drywall and painting over the leak, he told Mario that he couldn't leave until I was happy. I am now very happy and so glad I found Franmac.

I needed to make some major changes to the main floor of my house ie. remove some structural walls, smooth out the ceiling, potlights, modification to my stair case, etc.
I had met with 4 contractors to see who could do the job. From the start, Frank made me feel comfortable. He suggested great ideas and suggestions which no other contractor did, he had a better understanding of the building permit process and working with the city, and provided a very attractive proposal.

My entire experience was great. Frank has a very courteous and friendly team. They do extremely fantastic work, and are very professional. Frank keeps you up to date on the project, is very flexible and easy to work with. I highly recommend Frank and plan to use him on my future home renovation projects.

We just moved into a new home which was somewhat dated so the first thing I knew we had to do was remodel the kitchen. I had very specific ideas of what I wanted in the way of cupboards and tiling. FranMac worked with me to give me exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be more pleased with my new kitchen.

We've had Franmac do several jobs in recent months, including painting, landscaping, plumbing and repairs. Each time, the job has been completed promptly and at reasonable cost. Frank McGillan (Franmac) has also been very responsive, providing quotations on short notice as well as following up with minor repairs unrelated to his company's scope of work.

We had Franmac come in and look at the work that was done by a different company and he found it as bad as we did so we had hime redo it and help us get the other contractor in court we were able to get back most of the money from the first contractor thanks to franmacs Help A-1 company maryjoe
