Decks R Us/Franmac Construction

Frank was referred to me through a neighbor to help me with my late father's estate. Not only did his workers do a great job (everything from landscape to interior work) they were quick and professional. Frank himself has been more than flexible with regards to scope of work, payment and confidentiality.

This is way overdue.. I found Franmac/Decks r Us on Homestars. The reviews were so great and they were in our neighbourhood. Frank was immediately responsive and came to our home within 24 hrs. Very personable, knowledgeable, and PATIENT. We had an idea of what we wanted and Frank helped us to work through and made suggestions. We ended up doing 3 projects - one after the other. .By the time we were finished, Frank and his team felt like family. There was a 4th project (Kitchen) but I needed a break so that was postponed but will start again soon. (Frank, I'll be calling).
RELIABLE and DEPENDABLE- YES. You need not worry. Every morning at 6:30..team waiting patiently in the driveway for our lights to go on!
QUALITY of WORK: YES - Frank oversees his crew. He's very particular and is sure to brief his team every morning and then checks in throughout the day to ensure the work is progressing as planned.
We started with a new fence. Wow... a little creativity went a long way! Then the Deck: We had our first summer on our new deck....My FAVOURITE place!! It was exactly what we wanted..contemporary, visually impressive, inviting, lots of room for entertaining. Our home is somewhat high from the ground (but not a walk out). We wanted it to be flush walk out from the kitchen. DONE. Large storage area beneath. Only disappointment is that the rain/snow will go through the boards so everything underneath isn't protected. We should have laid a sheet or some kind of material before laying down the floor planks.
The Master Bathroom is a showpiece. Frank's idea to do a "feature wall" is the hand's down showstopper.
The basement was raw...now is lovely with a good size finished storage room, a bedroom, and full bathroom. Another "wow" factor was the creative use of the space under the stairs. Shelves..use for books or display. And BEHIND the book shelves (still under the stairs) there is a pull out wall for storage. Brilliant.
The team cleaned up after themselves daily. Frank took care of all trash removal AND even pick up of new bathroom toilet, bathtub.. Our hardest job was just figuring out and telling him what we wanted.
Frank took care of everything, plumber, electrician, permits with the City and arranged all electrical inspections after the work was done to ensure to code.
A sincere thank you for making this renovation as painless as possible.

We are thrilled with our new deck! Frank did exactly what we wanted at a great price. He responded quickly to any questions we had and Mark and Chris were like deck ninjas. Would absolutely use them again!

Frank and his team were great to work with! They were friendly, professional, and very solution oriented. Frank and Mark guided me through every step of the renovation process. I felt like my opinions, questions, and concerns were valued. I was pretty picky about a lot of minor details, but they took ownership of their work and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the result.

It was easy to do business with Decks r Us. Frank was great at planning and quoting our project. Mark and Chris built both our deck and fence. Mark and Chris were friendly, professional and easy to work with. The extra touches and features they added to the deck and fence were appreciated. Mark and Chris' workmanship was excellent. Both guys always answered our questions and explained what they were doing. Frank checked in regularly and ensured everything was going to plan. I would recommend the Decks r Us team to anyone. Although I put no cost, Frank's quote was in line with the 4 other quotes I got.

My neighbour and I joined together to re-build our backyard fence. Frank and his crew did an amazing job within a short time frame. They were professional, prompt and tidy! I would definitely recommend them to others! Thanks Frank.

I needed to have a large cedar pergola replaced which was adjacent to my pool area and home (i.e., a tight space) and also served to support a custom outdoor canopy and drapes. The pergola was constructed upon custom stone piers, with embedded electrical and lighting, so any new pergola had to account for those elements.

I had heard positive things about Franmac Construction through word of mouth and did my research on Homestars to confirm that their performance reliability was excellent. I obtained an estimate from Franmac which was very competitive and Frank from Franmac suggested improvements to the Pergola replacement which would enhance longevity. The key critical factor was that the new pergola had to be exactly the same in dimension as the old pergola or the custom canopy and drape hardware would not function. Frank and his team did not disappoint. Not only did they build a beautiful cedar pergola replacement which accommodated the canopy hardware perfectly, Frank employed more substantial framing timbers which added to the stability and longevity of the new pergola structure. They also did the job very quickly which allowed my family and I to enjoy our pool area that much sooner.

In summary, Frank and his team at Franmac Construction did an outstanding job, and we would not hesitate to hire them again.

I was very pleased with work Frank and his guys did. They built a beautiful deck , exactly the way I wanted it.
Unfortunately, the weather did not co-operate with a lot a lot of rains, but guys were every morning before 7AM, working under rain , I could not wish for a better outcome.
I will defiantly hire Frank and his company for my next project.

We were in desperate need of a backyard makeover. We called multiple companies and had numerous quotes. Frank showed up at our door on time and with an amazing design. His team worked quickly and meticulously until the project was finished. Frank and his crew are by far the best contractors we have worked with. Excellent craftsmanship and customer service. I'd say best in the city for sure, in my opinion. I'd recommend Frank to anyone...simple.
