interlock landscaping project.

We always wanted to have an interlock(at least to park the car for a while),since we do have a mutual driveway with our neighbours.
We talked to Kyle about our project, and despite the fact that we were clear from the beginning that the idea was to have enough space to be able to leave the car on the interlock,( we even gave him the model of the car we were using), and obviously without interfering with the mutual drive(otherwise whats the point), and despite several advises, we end up with an interlock that can't fit the car(too small). When we raised our concerns about the size during the construction, he told us that there was no issue at all, and that he can even put his truck on it...
What we did not understand&like is:

1- why they kept going with the construction without listening to our advise, concerns .??
2- Why they don't make sure that the car will fit totally on the available or designed space(or legal) before starting& completing the project, and if not why they didn't talked to us and let us known about the issues..instead of just keep going on with the work.
3- why he was so affirmative when saying that even his truck will" fit" on the interlock.
4- i felt he kept blaming us for the issues.

Anyway Today we end up paying 6000$ for a beautiful but useless interlock!
After completion and my wife showed him that the car can't fit totally on interlock without interfering on the driveway, he accepted to extend it a little bit...but we should pay extra money for it... Really..are you kidding me?

Lawn Cleanup and Staging

Great work by Kyle and his team. They were prompt arriving, did great work and were superb communicators. I was to them by another vendor and we couldn't be more pleased. I would certainly use and recommend them again.

Graded and re-sodded lawn, installed stone walkway and patio area, cleaned up existing growth, laid mulch, dug garden beds

Kyle and his crew did a fantastic job on our property! Kyle is very professional, friendly and reliable. He went out of his way more than once to meet with us when we needed some advice and was always very accommodating. He came up with some great ideas for our space. He and his crew always showed up on time, never left with out cleaning up the property and were extremely respectful and courteous. They did a top-notch job, completed exactly as promised, within budget and on time, with a beautiful outcome! We continue to receive compliments from our neighbours. We would definitely recommend Cutting Edge Landscaping!

Residential landscaping, sprinkler installation, and patio construction on large property

We spent several weeks interviewing for landscapers for a 90 x 145 foot lot which required re-sodding front and back, installation of sprinklers, laying of a new patio, creation of new flower beds, and laying of armor stones out front. We hired Kyle Barr and were extremely satisfied with the care and precision he put into his estimate, and absolutely delighted with the services he and his company provided, and how quickly and professionally the job was done. He was extremely helpful when it came to decisions about bed and patio design, choices about flowers and shrubs to be planted, etc. We are thrilled with our new landscaping and would highly recommend Kyle Barr to other property owners.

Backyard patio stones

We had a patio installed 2 years ago by a landscaping company we found in the local newspaper. After only one winter season, we were shocked to see that the stones began to shift and sink. We contacted the company that did the work multiple times, and after many unreturned phone calls decided to look for a new landscaping company. We were recommended Cutting Edge Landscaping by a close family friend had used in the past for a similar job. Owner and operator Kyle Barr came out to check out the faulty work. He was very knowledgeable and professional and we decided to go with his company for the job. They lifted the stones, put down a proper base and relaid the brick. What a difference! We can now enjoy our patio and will only be using Cutting Edge for any future landscaping needs.

landscaping our backyard

We are new homeowners and took on a 'fixer-upper' downtown that may have been a little more than my husband or i could chew. I was really nervous in dealing with contractors as anyone can tell you a million horror stories but that was definitely not the case with Kyle at Cutting Edge. He was really patient with me and all my questions. Not only did he provide me with the elements I wanted but suggested things that he thought would benefit our homes longevity. I'm really grateful to him and his amazing staff. I strongly recommend!

Landscape Design

Bought my first home in the winter of 2009. After winter renovations. it was time to do the outside. I used numerous local newspapers ads to find the specialists at cutting edge landscaping. Had my first interwiew with the owner kyle Barr. He gave me a free no obligation consultation. came over and reviewed my property. He was very patient with my eagerness to have the best property in the neighbourhood. After a month long project. Extremely pleased at the modern looking landscaping done at my property. It was more like art. Thanks Kyle for everything. Highly recommend.

Property Landscping Renovation

We recently needed some renovations done to our landscaping, We found Kyle in our local paper. The first thing we were impressed with was his punctuality when he came out to give us the quote. I've waited hours for people in the past with not so much as a phone call to let me know they would be late or weren't coming at all. Anyhow, we liked him right away so decided to have him move some trees we needed moved in our yard. The job itself was a tough one as these trees had gotten quite large and we weren't sure they would be able to move them at all. We were surprised when in a matter of a few hours the trees were transplanted and the holes filled in. They used a blower to clean up even areas where they hadn't really touched. We were so impressed that a week later we asked them to return to do our spring preparation of our gardens. Kyle's staff is courteous and very helpful. In a matter of a day they did what would normally take us weeks to do on our own. They pruned, filled flower beds with new soil, mulched all the gardens (and there are tons of them), mulched all the trees (again there are lots of those), they overseeded our lawn and laid about 600 sqare feet of new sod in the area where the trees had been moved the week before. When it was all said and done it looked great and you wouldn't have known they had even been there, they took all their garbage, and even some large plants I had pulled and had at the side of my house which weren't their responsibility. They used a blower for the driveway and then a hose to wash off where all the soil and mulch had been delivered. Overall it was a great experience. They were there to make us happy and they did a great job.
