Protech Gas Fitting & Plumbing

WOW! I had been struggling with rude people on kijiji where I had gotten 3 jaw dropping high quotes. I finally had enough and thought 'fine, I'm just going to have to pay an outrageous amount to a legitimate company' Well I wrote to Protech (the legitimate company I found through online research) on a Friday morning at 7:00am, by 8:34am Rick had responded that his tech would be there by 11:30, THE SAME DAY! Not only did they quote the best price out of the 4 companies, they had outstanding customer service, sent the official quote via email ahead of time and did not ask for payment until the job was done and approved! What a sense of relief, this will certainly be our company of choice for any of our gas needs in the future, thank you for making this experience one we can always feel positive about. Our fireplace has been burning non stop since Protech came and we love it!

We ordered a fire table from Lowes and had them deliver it to our house. When it arrived the delivery people refused to help me carry it onto my deck and said that they only had to put it in my driveway. When the fire table was in the box it was over 250lbs, so it is not a one person job. The fire table was then left on my lawn and I was at a loss what to do. I called Pro Tech and asked if it was possible, since they were going to instal it, if they could help me carry it onto the deck. We were also going away on vacation, so I was hoping to get the fire table taken care of before we left. I called Pro Tech Friday morning around 11am when the fire table was delivered, and they sent 3 guys to carry and instal it by 2pm the same day. Not only that, but the guys happily carried it up to my deck, installed it, got a longer hose for it all the while it was POURING rain. I couldn't believe how much they all went out of their way to do a great job and go over and above expectations. After it was done, I was worried that since there were three guys that I would get 3 times the bill, but I was charged just for the extra hose and the regular hook up charge. I was OVER THE MOON. From what was a nightmare (having the fire table dumped on my lawn before we left for our vacation) to having the team at Protech plumbing come to my rescue AND charge me less than I got quoted from other companies, I can't say enough good things about them. The staff are wonderful to talk to, and the guys that came and did the work did a wonderful job. It was such a treat to go on vacation and not have to stress and worry about it, and then to return to a working fire table that we could enjoy. I will definitely be calling them first if I ever have any plumbing or gas fitting needs!

Thanks once again to Rick and his top notch staff Kevin and James, today my hot water tank sprung a leak I called Protech Plumbing and they were out and had it replaced within 3 hrs of my call. Ricks staff were polite professional and courteous, they left my home as clean as it was when they arrived. The reason I say once again was because Rick and his staff replaced a garage heater for me a few months back and also did a fantastic job. I would recommend this company to anyone you would not regret the service this company provides.

Right from first point of contact Protech was friendly, efficient, and affordable. We had them install a gas-line and they provided an approximation of the cost before work began. There wasn't anything tricky or out of the ordinary about our installation, so it went smoothly and quickly. Price was fair for work and inspection passed with city without any issues.

Protech Plumbing was recommended to me by an Appliance store I shopped at. I contacted 'Protect' and received a competitive estimate and additional information regarding 'Code' requirements for the range installation that was helpful. Ric took the time to answer all the questions I had. Appointments were made and 'Jesse' their gas fitter showed up on time and went above and beyond in the installation process. His patience in answering questions that myself and my wife had was exceptional. He also had suggestions on simple flooring material to solve a height problem to fit my new range up to the new counter top height( he also installed the flooring material quickly and professionally).
I was pleasantly and completely impressed in the service and price of Protect. I will not hesitate in using them again for any future work I may require. Thanks again Ric and Jesse

Hot Water tank needed replacing. (It was leaking slowly from the bottom of the tank).

I received several quotes from reputable companies including Protech. (Protech had installed a fireplace insert for me several years ago.) Protech's price was very competitive and included all installation charges - including moving a gas line - and disposal fees of old tank.

The work was done several days after I called them (It was not an emergency). Installers came exactly on time and were very professional.

I would highly recommend Protech for any plumbing or gas-fitting work.
