Re-bricking and concrete pouring

Hired A&A because of how highly rated they were here on HomeStars. We were having brick work done on the front of the house and a new concrete slab poured in the basement and the new mud room. Before we signed off on the project we explained that we needed the concrete slab poured in two parts. Once for the basement itself so that we could proceed with installing the furnace etc, and one more time. No problem. When it came time to pour the slab, they refused to come and pour the first part of the slab, stating that it costs extra to have the truck come out twice and to let them know when the mud room was done so they could do it in one shot. This delayed several other trades by 3 weeks. When finally we called for the pour the second time, A&A came out and said they couldn't pour the whole thing in one go because of "existing site conditions", and had to come back another day to pour the mud room.

On many occasions the workers simply didn't show up, we were never notified nor had any explanation provided. Our GC had to chase them to make sure they were going to finish the work and actually show up. The only reason they get one star is because the quality of the brick work was quite good. Over all it was a frustrating experience that caused us a lot of delays. Once we signed the contract and paid the deposit, they came back trying to change the terms and the price of the job. Definitely felt like they didn't need our business even though our project was quite large and cost over 60k. To this day we've been trying to get them to come back and fix a couple of issues. But once you're paid in full don't expect even a phone call back.

UPDATE: A&A has contacted me and came over to see the issues that need to be fixed. So I'm increasing their rating based on their follow up.

UPDATE #2: A&A has come and fixed the outstanding issues. +1 start for each issue resolved, and +1 star for Dominic being awesome.

UPDATE: A&A has come back to fix one more minor issue with the front window lintels. +1 start and Dominic's awesomeness has earned them yet another star... A super star.
