About Painting

I had an estimate for the painting job in my house done on Saturday and found it to be much more reasonable than any quotes I had received earlier.
They came in the very next week and did a great job and were finished in two days. Great cleanup job also!! I will use them again for sure.

We had About Painting paint our higher end home Sept 2012. Our home is cedar siding (painted, not stained), and was in rough shape. We had done alot of prep work, and replaced many boards so we had a mix of old and fresh wood. We found Greg at About Painting had the most thorough and quality painting plan for our home, to avoid problems in the future, making the finished product consistent and beautiful. Excellent advice for trim etc, their experience and care shows. Even the best paint goes only so far, the final product is only as good as the quality of the canvass under it. That was a selling point, they are the only company recommending or willing to prime the ENTIRE house before painting. We had 4 quotes, the price was mid-range and worth it! One other company was more affordable, but their painting plan raised red flags (thinned out spray on, only prime the bare wood). Along with the quote came 2 pages of referrals to see their work, no other company bothered proudly gave referrals up front. Greg - put us on that list! I was confident going into the agreement.

Brett and team did a great job, cut lines are straight, coverage even on rough cedar is pure, and professional behavior on site.

No spraying, brush and roll so we have a good layer on. Clean job, no paint on sidewalks, or our new driveway, etc.

Follow-up is excellent, Blaine is detailed and thorough with ensuring we are 100% happy. We are very happy with the entire experience and will absolutely use About Painting in the future, and recommend to anyone.

Loved the friendliness and professionalism, the prompt service on quoting the job, the recommendations for better interior colour design. They covered maintenance and post product expectations. The owner managed to make special arrangements for his crew to do the job in a limited time; the crew delivered a great final result even with the timeline they were given... lastly, there was a crew member that even stayed past designated hours to confirm quality work was being done.

My wife and I have owned 4 homes in the last 6 years. Each time we have hired About Painting to do the painting for us. On 2 homes they did the inside as well as the outside and we could not be happier. They were prompt, professional and they gave us a 2 year no nonsense warranty.
We have passed their name on to friends and family who have also used them with great results.

We hired About Painting to paint the mainfloor of our house including a feature wall. The painters were very professional and moved all of our furniture. All wall repairs were done before painting. Cleanup was very good. We had some touch ups that needed to be done and they came back and did them all for us as well as some that we had not every noticed.

Our realtor recommended About Painting to us. We did our homework and had other estimates but About Painting was able to complete the work in less than half the time quoted by other companies for a better price. A crew of two did an excellent job of getting our house ready for the market. What a difference a coat of paint makes!

Excellent experience with Bill the finishing painter and also the interior decorator they sent us. The salesman greatly exaggerates. Crew was sloppy initially. Poor communication. Bill was able to eventually make things right, so we were definitely happy about him. DO NOT ask for referrals on drywall or repairs. Greg did a good job of trying to smooth things over. Overall a frustrating experience. Not the first time we have hired painters but definitely the last time we would ever hire About Painting. End result was a good paint job but far more expensive and frustrating than the last painting company we dealt with.

They were professional. Did a thorough job no mess or damage. Price was competitive. Friendly crew and they finished ahead of their estimated schedule. The paint was highh quality and lasted more than 5 years, I would recommend calling them when you have a two storey house, as they had all the required ladders to reach those hard to get at areas.

The guy that did the estimate was fabulous and he picked up things that no one else had seen - cracks and issues that he recommended we fix. They sent out a crew of three that were excellent.
