T.J. Fine Upholstering

It is without hesitation that I would recommend TJ Fine Upholstering for the turnaround time, the quality of the job, customer service and price point. I had read other reviews and, for the first time in my life, without even looking at any of the work previously done by them, decided to 'take the plunge' and get the job done. Bottom line? No regrets whatsoever AND we got our dining room chairs back in time for Christmas - a faster turn-around time than Milton at TJ had promised. The chairs look terrific! A very satisfied customer indeed.

I would highly recommend TJ for the turnaround time, the quality of the job and customer service. I had asked for a swatch of fabric so that I could use it to find matching fabric for a wing chair. When the couch was delivered, Milton had forgotten to bring the swatch. He returned a few days later with it.

My house was going on market. We needed few chairs upholstered for Show House. Milton picked up the chairs and had them done in two days. The workmanship was excellent. I checked Homestars for an upholsterer and called TJ Fine Upholstering. Milton called me back within 5 minutes and arranged to come over the very next day and gave a very fair quote for restuffing the five back cushions of our sectional couch. I had not had any upholstery done in the past so i was a little concerned about the ultimate product. I found TJ Milton on line and decided to try him. He was very personable and brought the sample products I asked him to. I started with the love seat and was so impressed with the outcome that I asked him to redo a chair in the same fabric to create a flow. and a match. I then gave him a seatee which just needed to have the cushion replaced which he will do using the same fabric that is already on the seatee now.
He picked up the couch and delivered it back on time as promised. The same with the chair. He now has a client for life.

We wanted to have our living room sofa re-upholstered to recreate the original look (we could not find a sofa anywhere that matched the modern design, so restoring was our only option).

We interviewed 2 companies. One played games from the start ("...but of you sign right now, we can do it for 25% less; and if you sign right now we can do it within 4 weeks because the shop is empty..., etc.).

The second company we interviewed was TJ Fine Upholstering, specifically Milton. From the get-go, Milton gave us a fair price and did not try to pressure us. The actual quote was lower than the "best price if you buy now" form the other supplier, but not so low as to make us uncomfortable. Milton came back a second time so we could have time to make a decision and he brought additional swathes. He assured us we would have our Sofa within 2 weeks.

In fact, he delivered the sofa 5 days after taking it away. The work is excellent -- however, there were a couple of minor problems that I pointed out -- he came back 3 days later and fixed the problems on-site.

I could not imagine how an upholstery experience could be any better!
